Hi have anyone done something like this with Pi, and would it be too complicated for a noob? I mean things like these: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Effects_unit I'm just curious about the possibilities and want a discussion about how it could be done. I guess there is already programs done for Linux...

Thanks. It looks different now at least. I'm not sure it's any faster though.
I had to type sudo startx for some reason for it to work.

I tried your line but didn't get any response. Did a second atempt on updating and got the same "operation not permitted" respons. Might be the NTP thing that Hexxeh mentioned. The problem is that I don't know how to use NTP. Maybe it's better to just wait till the release a new image with...

It might just be Midori. I had similar problems and after I changed to Chromium it was so much smother.
It still lags a bit when installing or downloading, but not even close to how bad it was with Midori. I have skipped all pictures and often java, tho.
