Re: Pi hole problem with connection
If you can connect to the other WiFi network then it suggests that your pi's WiFi is working. You might try renaming your your wpa_supplicant to some thing else and creating a new one just incase it had become corrupted when your pi was switched off suddenly. I thought I might have to reset the who...

Re: Pi hole problem with connection
I would suggest you shut the pi down and any other PC / device then reboot your router , let it complete the reboot then try your pi again. Rebooted pi, router and my pc same thing the wifi icon just flashes up the bars like it’s trying to connect but never does. And websites say the site can’t be ...

Pi hole problem with connection
<t>So I’ve had my puhole running for a few months now no issues. Last night all of a sudden I had no internet on my phone or iPad. I changed my DNs back to the automatic and worked fine. I was checking on the pi this morning and found it had shut it self down or got turned off, I rebooted and now it...

Re: need help with a 3rd booth option
If you insist on sticking with NOOBS then replacing it with PINN makes sense. https://www.raspberrypi.org/forums/viewtopic.php?f=63&t=142574 so where does my storage go on the pi4? i have listed in my computer when i insert my sd card 4 unformatted USB drives, system, system0, boot and recovery...

Re: Music player
Well there is a media player built in the Desktop version of the distribution AFAIK. It does video, so it does audio. I’ve only seen vlc media player, but I’m looking for something I could load my library into Where is your Music Library stored at present ?? Currently USB drive but I have to select...

Re: Music player
You would use Etcher or similar to create the SD as this includes the operating system as well as all the programs. This is not Raspbian but a slightly different version of Linux and the SD card would be dedicated to this task. Note: This will delete everything off that SD card. Do you know of an a...

Re: Music player
I would recommend piCorePlayer, which wraps piCore linux, Logitech Media Server, Squeezelite, etc. in an easy to live with package. Excellent support for the Pi platform and available audio HATs. https://www.picoreplayer.org If you target using a Pi 4, you need a beta release. Thanks how would I in...

Try the security angle and tell them they are risking all users by forcing the use of old unsafe software  lol i think itll get to messy my boss has to call our local ford to get it set up and the manager there has to get a hold of ford canada to get us an account for the year. ill just use th...

Re: raspberry pi 4 and wine or x86 emulator
Just read SVG 3.0 was pulled by Adobe back in 2009 Maybe direct the supplier to https://www.adobe.com/devnet/svg/adobe-svg-viewer-eol.html and ask for another option? As for what to try it in? Try anything you have got - it’s only time your spending (though the boss may think differently). ya i don...

Re: raspberry pi 4 and wine or x86 emulator
Only other thing I can come up with is for you to try changing the user agent identity and try and fool it into thinking you have the ‘correct’ browser loaded. IE 9 had Mozilla/5.0 (compatible; MSIE 9.0; Windows NT 6.1; WOW64; Trident/5.0) as it’s agent string. See here for lots of examples. Of cou...

Re: raspberry pi 4 and wine or x86 emulator
It’s not unusual to demand a specific browser in niche programs. The reach truck manuals one company I worked for needed a specific version of Chrome and an energy monitoring package needed IE 4 :o often it’s done by companies who need to be seen ‘keeping customers happy’ by releasing a paperless v...

Re: raspberry pi 4 and wine or x86 emulator
Looks like their website is configured stupidly. It looks like they're looking for a very specific external viewer, which is ridiculous, .SVGs render fine in anything. Looks like you have to trick the site into thinking the browser is IE, and once you've done that, it checks to see if the external ...

Re: raspberry pi 4 and wine or x86 emulator
Let's try a different approach. It looks like your end goal is to be able to run "SVG viewer 3.0.exe"...right? Running this through WINE or some other emulator isn't the right way to go about it, even if the Pi could run it. If you could get it working, the performance is often very poor,...

Re: raspberry pi 4 and wine or x86 emulator
The first requires you to build the kernel etc from scratch and even then Any Windows program you want to use on the Raspberry Pi will have to be compiled for ARM I’ve never seen an I.E. compiled for Arm BUT I’m more a Mac user. The second dates from 2006 and the software host site reports A databa...

Re: raspberry pi 4 and wine or x86 emulator
Wine will not run on ARM machines - it’s x86 code only. Eltechs / Exagear is no longer in business and their software required a license code to run old site (possibly dead) Any x86 emulator would be so slow for Explorer that it would be horrible to use. ok so the other 2 links i posted arent optio...
