Error 2: Share Not Available/Ubuntu 12.04

I'm running my R.Pi on an ethernet connection and had been previously sharing content to Raspbmc from my Asus 1225C with Ubuntu 12.04. I now have the much-discussed Error 2: Share Not Available problem. So far, I have tried: - rebooting my R.Pi - rebooting my Asus 1225C - cancelling my shared folder...

Re: Raspbian with XBMC image download

Hi, the download link is not working for me - 404. Does anyone have another, or even better, is there a torrent?

Re: No power to USB keyboard, no network link light on hub

Yes, the real solution/test that the crystal is to blame, is re-soldering the four solderpads. Which is way beyond my comfort zone (even on a $30 computer). So, kudos to Farnell who responded today to my return request, and have already arranged to ship me a replacement and collect the faulty one! ...

Re: No power to keyboard

Hi, If anyone has any suggestions to the issues I described above, I'd be very grateful. In China, Element14 say replacements will take 4-5 months, even after several emails. I just want to get started as quickly as possible, whether by returning the product or otherwise, but so far it seems that ev...

Re: No power to keyboard

I've had my Pi for a week now and I'm still having the same problem with 'dead' keyboard. I get as far as Rasp-config. My keyboard is a Rapoo e9070. It's not too far from the 9080 on the verified peripherals list, and has its own battery power. It's wirelessly connected to a powered Belkin hub (5V, ...

Re: RP in China

Do they accept Union pay cards ?

I used cash on delivery, but you can check their options on the site - I would imagine so.

Re: RP in China

This morning I received my RPi, very excited.

Element14 were very helpful in the end, and the delivery date, which had been pushed back to September, was substantially improved upon.

I'm very happy with their service and I'm very happy to be getting started. I'd recommend it to anyone in China.

Re: RP in China

The Element 14/Farnell customer service have now informed me that the delay will be six weeks on the initial date, or beginning August.

Overall, I think they're trying a little, but the service so far has been disappointing.

Re: RP in China

I ordered from this site: http://cn.element14.com/

The customer service was ok but recently they've gone a bit quiet. I received an email saying delivery would be 14th September, IIRC, but was told to ignore it. Since then, nothing. Now a long way behind the initially promised date.

Re: RP in China

Hi, I ordered mine last week, after receiving an invitation the week before and eventually the Chinese Element 14 website accepting orders. It said delivery would be in 5 days, but today they say earliest delivery is September. No feedback from UK to any of my emails - the coordination doesn't seem ...
