Vision kit "without kit"?

Hello everybody! So I have a Pi zeroW and I have the normal Pi Cera as well as the Pi Cam NoIR, but I don't have the vision kit, now I've read that that Vidion Boinet or whatever it's called is especially designed to handle the machine learning locally.. Is there any way to circumvent this? Or is th...

Re: Reflash Pi Zero W factory rom?

Hmm.. That is kinda sad, that for a mistake at the factory, so many faulty boards can just be trown away..
It has the default value, doesn't that mean it hasn't been programmed at all? Or has it been done wrong?

Re: STICKY: Pi Zero not seeing camera module? Please read.

Hey Guys, So this Sticky is indeed very helpful! I ordered a Pi0W from https://kiwi-electronics.nl and it had this issue, BUT the way I found it was because the Bluetooth nor Wifi devices were detected! Hadn't even tried the camera yet.. But maybe it is a good idea to rename this sticky to also indi...

Re: Reflash Pi Zero W factory rom?

So apparently the Raspberry Pi's have some sort of super lowlevel rom/firmware, that gets flashed in the factory on some memory on the PCB.. The SoC on a Pi has a minimal ROM that is not writable in any way (it's "programmed" by the masks used in manufacturing the chips). There is a very small amou...

Reflash Pi Zero W factory rom?

Hey guys! So lately I've posted in one of the topics around here about my Pi Zero W not recognizing it's Wifi and Bluetooth devices, it so turns out there has been a problem at the Pi factory.. So apparently the Raspberry Pi's have some sort of super lowlevel rom/firmware, that gets flashed in the f...

Re: Wifi not working on Pi Zero W

Okay you guys, follow this and check out if you have the same problem.. Somehow this could be a programming problem from the factory..? I'm curious as to how I'm gonna explain this to my retailer here in The Netherlands.. But all the info stated in the aforementioned link is exactly the same as mine...

[Suggestion] Welcome to RaspberryPi Config

Hey Guys, So I was thinking.. When you're trying to configure things from the start through the Welcome to Raspberry Pi, Getting started popup. It would be lovely to choose more languages then just the one available in your country.. I'm from The Netherlands, so the only options I get is dutch and t...

Re: Volume low after google assistant installation

You can also just say:

"Hey Google, can you speak up?"

Than the volume changes gradually. If once saying it isn't enough say it twice or thrice!

Works perfect! I had the struggles as well! =)

It seems to have to do with my home networking, there were some issues with my routers and their DHCP Servers, so it probably got disconnected from the internet every time! =) Thanks for the input anyways! =)

Re: Separating microphone, speaker and camera.. possible?

If your a little handy, I've seen people do DIY bluetooth microphones through old bluetooth devices. Like using the bluetooth transponder and soldering a microphone onto the circuitboard etc. There are tons of videos and tutorials online! Maybe that could be a solution? Also a rather cheap one maybe...

New version aiyprojects-raspbian?

Hey guys, Does anyone have good links about getting started with the new version of the AIY Projects? I still use the old master branch (Voice-recognizer) . I'm thinking about using and testing the new version, though I haven't found any good starting points, also I don't have the voice kit, so I "h...

Custom commands Google Assistant SDK

Hello all, I'm looking into custom commands, now I've been doing this for a while, but I can't find anything about using keywords instead of sentences. I'm still using the older version WITH actions.py. For example: actor.add_keyword(_("I can't see my keyboard anymore"), LightCtrlLiving(say, 'On')) ...

Hello Samorious, I can't actually tell you how to dot his, I can how ever advise you not to use Snowboy.. Don't get me wrong it's a great project but it only works well if you use one of the universal listen models. I've used it for a while, but it had such a hard time recognizing my hotword.. Somet...

[Solved] "There's been a glitch.." etc.

Hey all, I've had a few problems lately.. I'm still using the old forked project with the actions.py. Now I'm running into some trouble the last 2 weeks.. I want to connect a few LEDs to my Pi 1B (I believe it was) and control them through my Assistant. I have...
