Hi drgeoff,

Thanks, I was hoping to do it programmatically, though that is an option.

Disable Analogue & HDMI video OR disable prompt?

Hi all,

I am looking for a way to disable all video output, both composite and HDMI, yet retain analogue audio functionality

OR

Disable local login prompt completely, so it is only available via SSH.
(or both of the above!)

If anyone could help me with this, I'd appreciate it.

Thanks in advance.

3G Router/Modem module?

Hi all, I am looking for, and have been unable to find, a small (and economic) module that will connect to the 3G network with an RJ45 interface in a modular PCB type format. I have been able to find devices for sale, but I am looking for a cheaper 'modular' type version that will allow me to put it...

Re: Poor audio quality on analog output

Thanks... Mine was solved with a new PSU, but maybe a new cord would have been sufficient...

As you say, at least this may help someone in the future.

Anyone know if this could work for MPD and MPC? I also need to detect the audio output level using these programs?

Re: Helping to stop scammers

I love taking cold calls and annoying them, I normally pretend its a crossed line and insist they put me through to catering...

Some of them actually swear at me for ME wasting THEIR time!

Still fun!

Re: Unreliable Unreliable Unreliable

I haven't read the whole thread but... I have three Pi's, all different models/releases, all different OS's and all different SD cards, all performing different tasks... They are battered with poor PSU's and the power unplugged randomly. I have NEVER had an issue with any of them, the only problem I...

View / Monitor network traffic?

Hi all, I would like a way to view/monitor network traffic across eth0 with a view to taking actions if network traffic drops to a certain threshold and was wondering what may be the best way to go about it. Is there a (system) value that I can get into a variable that I can then use? Any ideas/sugg...

Does anyone know of a panel mount joystick that will definitely work with the Pi for this?

Re: MAME4ALL for Pi

Hi all,

I haven't read all replies (apologies).

I was wondering,. specifically, if Pacman (original) will run on this and if it is possible to use a joystick on the Pi?

I'll go through the whole thread if necessary, but wondered if anyone could confirm the above points?

Thanks!

You were right, I went down the cut the cable route and only ordered the cheapest going. The cables are so thin I'm surprised it even works!

As you said, I'll but a few different ones...

I'll take a look, thanks!

I downloaded Sketchup and, from a person who has no CAD/design experience, it is quite daunting!

I'll take a look round and see what options I have.

Thanks.

Fixing the Pi PCB in cases

Hi all,

I was wondering what mechanism people are using to secure the Pi board in place in (custom) cases as it has no screw holes to fix it to a case/surface.

I'd be interested in hearing what other people are doing to resolve this and how they are fixing their Pi PCB's to their cases?

Thanks!

Printing on ABS cases (UK)

Hi all, I have a prototype box and would like to know if anyone knows of a cheap/easy way of printing, say, a logo on an ABS case? Failing that, can anyone point me in the direction of a company (in the UK) that may be able to print a logo and a few other items (connectors) on a small ABS box? Thank...
