How to update Raspbian

I turned my pi on for the first time in about 6 months, I have the old 256mb model b, I run:

Code: Select all

sudo apt-get update
sudo apt-get upgrade
sudo apt-get dist-upgrade
Will this upgrade me to the latest 2013-09-25 image? or will I need to start from scratch?
