Re: SD card issue ... can't install Raspbian

Thanks. Yes, I use Windows as host system and have no display/keyboard for RPi3. That's why I decided to install Raspbian to use RPi3 immediately without any intermediate actions. It seems that doing manipulation with Etcher (also SD formatting, proposed by Windows) I destroyed initial SD card struc...

SD card issue ... can't install Raspbian

Hello, I acquired RPi3 with an SD card with NOOBS preinstalled. Previously, I had no experience with NOOBS , so I did not know if RPi3 was operational immediately or if NOOBS needs some manipulations requiring screen and keyboard. Nevertheless I've tried to connect RPi3 form host over ssh. Connectio...

Re: Can't launch gedit using remote connection from PC

here is the content of ssh_config at RPi3: I though you were attempting a connection from the Ubuntu PC to the RPi? If so, the ssh configuration on the RPi is not relevant. Did you try the simple -X ssh option already suggested? With what result? Followup, having seen your latest response: so it se...

Re: Can't launch gedit using remote connection from PC

It might be as simple as

Code: Select all

ssh -X [email protected]_ip_address
Works ! At least gedit opens.
Nevertheless, a successful launch is accompanied by 2 errors:
libGL error: No matching fbConfigs or visuals found
libGL error: failed to load driver: swrast

A Raspberry Pi 2 Binary should be compatible with a pi 3 are you able to build one of them? I build binaries on a pi zero and they will run on any raspberry Pi.
Give that a try.
What source did you use ?

Setup Cross-Compile chain for RPi3

Hello, Here is a very good manual on how to setup cross-compile chain for RPi2: https://visualgdb.com/tutorials/raspberry/qt/embedded/ I've met problems trying to use it for RPi3. Thus, step 12 (build the Windows tools) fails. Two problems here: First, there is now linux-rasp-pi3-g++ folder in ..\qt...

How to change system language to English

Hello,
While configuring the systeme with new SD card, I selected language (CH-FR), that corresponds to my keyboard ... thinking that with option I select only keyboard layout.
But finally I see that system language is French (e.g. all gui menus are in French).
How to setup English.
Thanks

No activity on SD card (green LED OFF)

Hello,
This morning, once RPi3 is powered, I see that green LED is OFF.
Trying to discover what happens, I inserted the SD card in my PC, but no any drive appeared in Windows Explorer.
Does it mean that SD is totally corrupted ?
Thanks

Funny colors while using mplayer

Hello,

When I execute mplayer tv://, it's running, but colors are quite bizzare ... similar to infrared camera image, although my camera is normal: HD Webcam C525 (Logitech).
Any ideas ?
Thanks
