I tried that, didn't work for me, mind sharing your source it'd be easier.

What was the modification? And what are the build requirements?

Re: Hyperspin & Raspberry Pi?

Thanks for the update. I'll try taking a look at the source when I get the chance, and I'll see if I can do anything. Also, could you tell us what the dependencies are?

I decided to further document my progress as I accomplish more of my task of making a Raspberry Pi NES Console. If you would like to follow my progress my blog is http://raspberrynes.blog.com

Re: Hyperspin & Raspberry Pi?

As far as I know, Hyperspin is windows only. There are alternatives like http://www.cabrio-fe.org/ you could try to compile on the rpi.

Re: NES Operating System

I'm doing something similar with mine here shortly and I'm doing a checklist in my head. One issue I've ran into is the shutdown procedure though. I'm working on a way to gently power down the system when either button is pressed but I'm not sure I'm going about it the right way. For power: The pow...

Re: NES Operating System

On initial look at the switches, I realized that the diagram I posted wouldn't work. However, another look at the inside of the switch made me realize that a simple modification would do the trick. Re: NES Operating System

Great idea, I actually am planning to make a case for my pi with an NES too. But I plan on using the original NES controller sockets using the code from http://petrockblog.wordpress.com/2012/07/19/connecting-snes-sockets-to-the-raspberry-pi-an-assembly-guide/ And I plan on wiring the power led and ...

Re: Web OS (HP)?

I'm going to attempt porting Luna to linux and then I'll see from there, I don't even know what WebOS really is so if porting Luna becomes a tough task then I'm not the guy you're looking for, however I am increasingly close to getting android onto the Raspberry Pi, so expect some update soon.

Re: Web OS (HP)?

Web OS for the most part is closed source, but Luna, the window manager can be compiled, no telling whether it'll run on top of Linux or not, but I can give it a shot. Will report with my results as soon as I can.

Re: Porting Android

Also, from experience I know that Android is split up between different partitions, how will that work on the RPi? I know that there's boot, root, system, and data, how will those mount? I do know that in order to keep file permissions working the .img files can't be extracted and copied to the part...

Re: Porting Android

Yep, the cross-compiler included with the tutorial was not working, had to use another way since I'm on 10.04. I got it to compile so now I'm going to test it using my Raspberry Pi once it finishes. If anyone wants the kernel or kernel.img let me know and I'll post it. Shawn Hey Shawn, just curious...

Re: Porting Android

I just cannot get my head around this, I follow Casey Anderson's instructions, no errors but my kernel will not be read by the Raspberry Pi. All I get is the colour screen upon boot. Anyone who's successfully gotten their kernel to be read by the RPi care to share what's wrong with my output? http:...

I compiled a 3.3 kernel with Android support. It runs Debian Wheezy. Compiling ICS for ARMv5/ARMv6 might be harder though... Re: Porting Android

I tried that tutorial and it wouldn't compile at all. I'm actually shocked it didn't work, it seemed like that tutorial would work. Re: PSX Emulator - Any working?

Until there's graphics acceleration the psx emulation will be really slow. The emulator showed that it was using Software Rasterizer so I expect that when gpu acceleration i...

Looks like there's a package for armel and armhf. I'll try installing it and post the results back later today.

I tried installing using your guide in the first post but eduke32 wouldn't install because the package wasn't for armhf. I am using the Raspbian Pisces+MATE image. I ended up compiling the latest revision of eduke32 from svn and it worked fine however my mouse didn't work and the graphics was glitch...

Re: Porting Android

I'd also like to give this a shot, I have compiled kernels before and I might be able to get it to work on the RPi with the right tools and files needed to get android running. Is there a writeup available on how to compile & build the RPi kernel from the github source? https://github.com/lp0/linux/...
