Re: DOSBox 0.74-3 MSDOS x86 emulator

Hi,

I used the code from sourceforge and built it successfully with ARMV4LE for my pi 3 but I don't think the dynarec was actually enabled because it didn't run any faster.

Re: DOSBox 0.74-3 MSDOS x86 emulator

I stuffed something up. First time I built it successfully but I used C_TARGETCPU ARMV4LE which didn't seem to enable the dynrec core, so I swapped it to ARMV7LE but that gave me a build error? g++ -DHAVE_CONFIG_H -I. -I../.. -I../../include -I/usr/include/SDL -D_GNU_SOURCE=1 -D_REENTRANT -g -O2 -MT...

Re: DOSBox 0.74-3 MSDOS x86 emulator

Thanks for the guide :)

It will be nice to be able play classics like X-Wing on my Pi 3 using the dyna core :D

Re: Raspberry Pi 4 Dual Monitors

Just to add to this original post... Is it possible to set up two monitors to use an 'extended desktop' and then specify a specific monitor to use with specific games? I'm thinking it might be nice to have one big 16:9 monitor and a secondary smaller 4:3/5:4 monitor and use an extended desktop but w...

Games not fullscreen - desktop is fullscreen (Rpi 3)

Hi,

I've tried playing around with my over-scan settings in the config but couldn't get rid of the back borders from my 16:9 display.

The desktop is full screen but if I try and run a game (eg ScummVM, DOSBox) then it always has a black border...anyone know a fix?

Running Rasbian

Danke.

Re: DosBox and real MIDI hardware

Found an answer to this on Vogons, will post here for future generations.. You need to find the port that ALSA has assigned to your MIDI interface... from a terminal, type "aplaymidi -l" and you should get something like this: CODE: SELECT ALL [[email protected] ~] $ aplaymidi -l Port Client name Port na...

DosBox and real MIDI hardware

Hi,

I've got my Pi hooked up to an SC-55 Mrk2 using USB and I can play MIDI files back so everything is connected properly in Linux.

Anyone know if the Raspberry Pi build of DOSBox supports real MIDI hardware and if so what settings I should use in the config file?

Thanks

Re: OpenGL with X11

I currently play with the Mesa3D demo examples in Sakaki's Gentoo64 which has newer OpenGL drivers. https://www.mesa3d.org/repository.html Raspbian is still using mesa 13, Gentoo64 is 19 , type glxinfo to check. Cool, thanks for the info :D So if I swap from Rasbian to Gentoo64 then it will support...

OpenGL with X11

Hi, I'm just starting off on the pi and with OpenGL development using C++. I found this tutorial https://github.com/gamedevtech/X11OpenGLWindow Would this be a good place to start? I've already enabled the hardware OpenGL driver on my pi, do I need to install/update any other libraries? My interest ...

Starting off with Pi retro game development (gcc & OpenGL)

Hi guys, Just got my Pi and I'm planning on learning (basic) OpenGL coding by updating some old PC games (open sourced). I'm going to coding on my Windows PC using Visual Studio with the VisualGDB plugin to build and test/debug on my Pi (prob not going to cross compile). My plan as a learning exerci...
