Re: Bug: Setting Theme on RPi4 Raspbian Buster
I had the same problem and found the solution below, just copy the lxde-pi-rc.xml file to your /.config/openbox folder and then edit it in terminal to change your theme and fonts. sudo cp /etc/xdg/openbox/lxde-pi-rc.xml /home/pi/.config/openbox I found the info here https://www.raspberrypi.org/forum...

Re: RPI 4 video flickering issue
Compton works for me also, I would much rather watch an entertaining tear free video than rapidly drag a window around the screen. Kodi has been mentioned in regard to no tearing, I would also like to mention WebOS for the Raspberry Pi, as another option for tear free video - https://www.webosose.or...

Re: Extreame screen tearing on Raspberry Pi 4
I fixed screen tearing for watching full screen video by first disabling the default compositor via raspi-config, then I installed compton, you can configure compton using a compton.conf file by adding it to the .config folder in your home directory. https://packages.debian.org/buster/compton I've a...

Re: STICKY: NEW FORUM SKIN - Comments here please.
Didn't realise there were options to change the theme, thanks, "RPI" is the best option available, but still falls short of the previous forum design, just my opinion.

Don't like the new look for the forum, looks old, makes me think of windoze 98. It was a lot cleaner, easier to view and modern looking before the change.

Re: New Google assistant SDK for python. With hotword suppor
1. Have you updated the SDK - http://eduncan911.com/stem/embedded/aiy-google-assistant-upgrades-may-2017.html 2. You can look here for info on playing radio stations, I think there are other options if you have a look through the AIY forum - https://www.raspberrypi.org/forums/viewtopic.php?f=114&...

Re: AIY and Jessie Updates
I previously followed the instructions on this page http://eduncan911.com/stem/embedded/aiy ... -2017.html to update the SDK without any problems. Once updated ask, "Let's Play A Game" to test the new interactive features.

Voice Through HDMI Audio Drop Outs
I've set up the AIY OS on a Raspberry Pi to use a webcam microphone and output the audio through HDMI, while using the trigger Ok-Google. It almost works, the problem being that there are audio drop outs in the assistant's voice, I've tried two TV's and Raspberry Pi's and get the same results. Audio...

Re: APP: voice chess
Following info from the "Local" voice is very crackly thread, I tried the idea posted by Silverlock, to improve the quality of the voice, and it does sound a lot better, and the gnuchess moves can be heard more clearly. Even with this improvement it's still impossible to complete a game ju...

Re: APP: voice chess
I tried changing the local voice using Flite, following info from the "Local" voice is very crackly thread, I didn't like it and it didn't fix the problem, I will try the idea posted by Silverlock, in that thread, maybe it will help.

Re: APP: voice chess
Hi,
I'm new to gnuchess and Python, I've added the code to action.py, the AIY box will accept and acknowledge my move, but I can't hear it's move clearly enough, specifically the first letter doesn't fully play, can this be fixed?
Thanks

Not sure I should be giving this one a way so freely, or admitting it, I asked, "Do you know any chat up lines"...
