Re: Why no PHP forum?

r3d4, I can only assume that reason is because "YourLanguageSucks" Yeah, yeah. I know. Everyone like to looks down on JS and kick it around the block for it's interesting "features". Thing is, when you have been programming long enough, in a bunch of different languages (including PHP in my case) y...

Re: Getting a 14 year old started

I trying to think back when I was 14 or 15 and I kind of remember doing a lot of figuring out when it came to computers with a bunch of friends. It was the days of Atari 400/800, Commodore 64, Amiga and Dos 3.0 (though I think that was brand new for a lot were still using Dos 1.0x). My point is that...

Re: A sign of the times perhaps

I find it sad the honest law abiding citizens are having more and more restrictions placed on them, because of this mad world that we are currently living. I'm just going to leave it at that leaving politics out of it. :(

Re: Setting up a Pi 3 for the long haul?

I personally don't see what the big deal with sd card failures? The simple solution would be to make a clone of the sd card to have a backup just-in-case of a sd failure. Just my .05 cents (would be .02 cents, but because of inflation). :D :D :D

Pleasantly Surprise with the Raspberry Pi

I have to say after all these years in building regular size computers that I thought I couldn't be surprised any more. I was wrong for the Raspberry Pi and Raspberry Pi Camera has surprise me with how easy it is to set up, use and configure. I'm also starting to learn a little bit of linux in the p...

Re: Raspberry Pi excruciatingly slow

I'll give you my experience that I just had. A couple of years ago I bought the Raspberry Pi B Version 2 (I believe). Being a scatterbrain I lost the Raspbian OS sd card for it (I probably used it for something else). Fast forward to today I want to build a birdwatching camera that will stream video...
