Re: 2.8" TFT + Touch Shield Board v2

Well that is strange - adding debug and/or verbose shouldn't affect the timings, and it should 'just work' with notro's image. Maybe changing those parameters is a red herring - have you tried to undo those changes and see if it 'breaks' again? Texy Yes I did. Removing the parameters 'breaks' the s...

Re: 2.8" TFT + Touch Shield Board v2

I got your display in the mail today. Sadly I can't get it to work properly (I tried it on the old and the new model B RPi). It worked once at the first boot but after the card resize and the automatic reboot the display goes black for a brief second and then white again. Dmesg shows the correct com...

Re: RaspberryPi sized touchscreen MI0283QT

I have the same problem. I want to use the touchscreen as the primary input so crashing is a no go. I have to go as low as 5fps @2mhz with the screen to get it somewhat stable. I don't need dragging I only have simple buttons. Any Idea how to disable dragging/constant mouse down? I never developed o...

Re: Need basic web server SSL and password support??

I heard lighttpd is a good alternative to apache (I have never used it tough). It has SSL and htaccess support and it is in the official debian wheezy repository so it should also be in the raspbian repository. You could also try nginx.

Re: Games for raspbian

I just did a "aptitude install scummvm" and copied over the game files via smb from my pc. I am not using an image tough. I installed the system with the installer form the raspbian website from scratch.

Re: Games for raspbian

ScummVM from the repository works good out of the box. I tried the feeble files and even video playback works (I re encoded the video files a view years ago when the format was not supported by ScummVM so I can't say anything about the original video files). Sadly it only runs in native resolution, ...

RPi has to initiate connection

I have a weird problem. I connect my Pi via WiFi to my network via wpa_supplicant. I get an IP adress via dhcp and my Access Point show the RPi in its connected devices list. When I try to ping/connect to it from my Windows PC I get a "host not found" error. But when I ping my pc from the Pi and let...

Re: Binaries for XBMC and Quake 3 (with sound!)

Thank you very much adam
I compiled quake3 a view days ago but didn't try it because it had no sound. I also wanted to try out xbmc but compiling 24h is to long (my RPi crashes from time to time and I haven't found the cause yet). I definitely will check out your builds later.

Re: WiFi and graphical session

Mmmmm ... Well, I have a RT5370 running directly off the Pi's USB, apparently successfully. Just two quirks:- 1. For some reason, the Pi configured the wifi as wlan1. Any idea why this should happen? 2. When I start LXDE, I get two warnings. The first says "Could not connect to wicd's D-Bus interfa...

Problem with RT2870/RT3070 Wireless Adapter

OS: Raspbian Hardware: ALPHA AWUS036NEH with RT2870/RT3070 Chipset With the first adapter I was not able to get a stable connection, so I bought a second one form the "RPi VerifiedPeripherals" list. Its a ALPHA AWUS036NEH. It connects without any problem but then after a few seconds I get a lot of "...

Re: WiFi and graphical session

Just for the archive: Buying a new powered usb hub (D-Link H4) didn't help. So I tried disconnecting the power line in the USB Cable which made the hub unusable (hub is constantly resetting it self). So I tried again with the lend usb hub (an old Hama 1:4) and the modified USB cable. The hub is work...

Re: WiFi and graphical session

It really seems to be a power problem. When the WiFi adapter is directly plugged into the rpi it does not connect at all (although the power between TP1/TP2 is stable at 5,02V-5,04V; I am using a 1A power supply). The USB hub is only lend, so I will buy one from the "RPi VerifiedPeripherals" Wiki p...

WiFi and graphical session

I am not new to linux (debian to be precise) but I haven't used it in a long time as a desktop environment. Hardware: Logilink WL0085 (Chipset: RLT8188S) connected via active USB hub Distribution: Debian squeeze/wheezy (both have the same problem) Software: wicd (wicd-curses for console/wicd-gtk for...
