Re: Raspberry Pi High Quality Camera

2blmaster posted a link to IR cut filter removal in the bat video thread:
https://www.raspberrypi.org/documentati ... removal.md

Looks easy but kills the warranty, of course.

Re: Raspberry Cams (V1/V2/HQ) for nighttime videos of bats

This is all very fiddly but you could try syncing an infrared strobe to the video. I tried it but did not like the results; higher frame ratew might have helped. Now I use four second exposures with the strobe - 1ms pulse, 24 pulses per second. With the new camera I am hoping to reduce the pulse len...

Re: wm8731 compatible drivers

Searching for WM8731 on the github Raspberry Linux repository gets lots of returns. I used the CS4271 codec on my own board and it works fine. It is a simplified version of the Super Audio Board. The drivers are available via rpi-update but will soon be in the main distribution. https://hackaday.io/...

Re: DS3231 on 400 khz baudrate I2C?

If you have an oscilloscope you should check the actual baud rate. You might need to set the rate to something like 640000 to get 400K. Don't know if this was fixed in newer kernels. See here for more info:

Re: Need help!! How to read analog input from current sensor by using Raspberry pi3?

Ah, it must be part of some industrial control system. Sorry, I know nothing about those. Maybe something like this will work? https://widgetlords.com/products/raspberry-pi-analog-input-module-8-channels-4-20ma-rs485-modbus-interface If no one here chimes in you might try on the eevblog forums. I ca...

Re: exposure_speed drops to some fixed value

Possibly a bug. I was seeing something like this and the code in this post was a workaround: https://www.raspberrypi.org/forums/viewtopic.php?f=43&t=156159#p1020690 (hint: pootlepics does not import. It works fine without it. He's hung up on poots.) I posted about a similar problem using raspistill ...

Re: Raspistill: Camera v2.1shutter speed won't exceed 1 seco

After "sudo SKIP_KERNEL=1 rpi-update 658558a", long exposures are working as expected.

Thanks for this and the info about the commit.

Raspistill: Camera v2.1shutter speed won't exceed 1 second

I have been unable get a shutter speed beyond 1 second with raspistill. An older raspbian with raspistill v1.3.8 works fine. Picamera seems to work fine on this recent version as well so I can work around this but help with raspistill would be appreciated. Camera is noir v2.1 raspistill Camera App v...

People are using the Wolfson on 40 pin Pi's. Look at the posts before and after this one:

I have not tried it. Get out that iron!

Sort of like the Batinator?

Or this one:

Nice set up. A few photos of the construction would be appreciated.

Re: PiKrellCam: motion vector detect + OSD web interface

Now it is time to do a driver for them. I remembered your strobe idea. Been playing with baremetal coding and found out about the GPCLK0,1,2. GPCLK0 was used by the camera before EMI testing. Still comes out on GPIO4 Alt0, have you tried to program GPCLK0 on GPIO4 to output the 23.1Hz? A mosfet/cur...
