I am sure I have followed all the instructions for running the motion software on the raspberry pi camera but I just get a grey screen with

Claws mail stopped working

Claws mail has simply stopped working on my rpi3

I try to run it and it shows the hourglass for about 10 s then stops.

Tried update/upgrade options but have had no success

Are there some permissions that need to be set to enable it to run?

Re: I can not start motion as daemon

It seems you have the same issue as me. Motion used to work with both a USB camera and the pi camera but now I cannot get it to work at all!

I made all the changes to motion, motion.conf etc but no success

have you been able to run motion as a non-daemon? This does not seem to work for me either

[SOLVED?] Re: nginx with php7.0 - downloads does not run php files?

I think the problem is solved - partly due to my ignorance of how php works!

I was attempting to run php files by double clicking the file. However this only downloads the file.

The php files can be run by using 127.0.0.1/phpfile.php in the browser so I am happy to have resolved this issue

Re: nginx with php7.0 - downloads does not run php files?

The file in 'sites-enabled' is 'default'

This is a baffling problem. What can I do to solve it? I seem to have tried all the suggested options.

Re: nginx with php7.0 - downloads does not run php files?

i installed nginx using the apt-get system

When I click on a php file with the browser it just downloads the php file rather than running it!

This seems to be a common problem for other linuxes but I want to get it working in raspbian!

nginx with php7.0 - downloads does not run php files?

I am trying to get nginx to work correctly with php7.0

What happens is that php files are downloaded rather than run by the browser

The issue seems to lie with the nginx or php configuration files but I have had no luck getting this to work!

Any assistance greatly appreciated!
