Re: Should I wait for the next revision of the pi 4

At least wait until a lot of the firmware bugs are found and fixed, and maybe USB boot too Lots of people have issues with the display driver, not recognizing their working monitor (ones that work fine with earlier models or have odd native modes ie not 720p or 1080p) With my experience of the 4B, y...

Re: Pi 4B No USB deivces recognised and no signs of USB Power

tried new copy of buster lsusb - only seeing the ports not any device attached can SSH in & do get both CLI and GUI, as expected No sign of power on any of the ports with a USB power tester, & using the official Pi 4B PSU All the devices work on both the Pi 3B and a Win 1o PC :- wired keyboard/mouse...

Pi 4B No USB deivces recognised and no signs of USB Power

Just started setting up my new 4B and had a few glitches, the most obvious of witch is no keyboard, mouse or USB-SATA adaptor! After a few attempts to get the monitor recognized, some of which had to be done via Ethernet, as the WiFi service did not always start, it became clear that I could not res...

Re: Raspberry pi 4 Large storage

That looks like the right idea

The reason I went with the mSATA ssd (and adapter) was because it is clear that it will run off the usb power that the Pi will provide, which is the other thing you need to check (or use a powered hub)

Re: SD Card runing on RPI 3 but not RPI 4?

Probably not...
Raspbian Buster (20 June 19 or newer) is needed for the Pi 4B (this includes versions of NOOBS as well)
this will run on older Pis, but any install prior to this week 23/6/19 will not run on a Pi 4B

Re: Raspberry pi 4 Large storage

Any USB3 to SATA adapter should work Then use a matching HDD/SSD I alreay use one of the usb2.0 to mSata on a Pi3B, but the generic one does not do the USB boot! (genetic with a 256GB 1.8" mSATA SSD on it) What would be useful is a list of models (and/or sources) of adapters that work for USB boot o...

Re: Raspberry Pie 3 for Christmas - Recommendations

Assuming access to a TV/Monitor with a spare HDMI port, I would look at a basic kit:- Pi3, case, SDmicro with NOOBs pre-installed, official PSU & a HDMI cable then add a cheap keyboard and mouse, a USB SDMicro card reader, 1 or 2 SDMicro cards (8,16, or 32 GB) & lastly a prototyping bread board and ...

Re: Buy Raspberry Pi zero

& If you are worried about practicing on your Pi 0, some veroboard, a few more header strips & solder a header across the board, then maybe transfer a project that you want to try to veroboard rather than a breadboard & solder that up!

Headless Pi Zero W Bluetooth connection to an Andriod phone?

I want to connect my Android phone (using BlueTerm or BTInterface) as a terminal to my Pi Zero W, eventually to control a Pan/Tilt and shutter for a remote camera. The phone says they are paired - but BTinterface says 'Cant Connect, is it running a terminal ... BlueTerm "Unable to connect to device"...
