Re: SSD1327 over I2C not working

I am struggling also. I was given the waveshare 1.5" screen for Christmas. I have changed the peripheral setting in Raspi-config, changed the jumpers on the device, added a link from the reset (RST) to GND (R-PI GPIO pin 25), But cannot get the sample code which is for SPI connection to compile...

I2C on Waveshare 1.5 inch display 13992

I was given this for Christmas. I cannot use it in SPI mode as those pins are used, so I2C it is. I have used I2C on my arduinos. The waveshare manual and instructions are useless. I have changed the jumpers - Note that the manual only shows one jumper and there are two. I have connected it I2C and ...

Re: driver for wireless Realtek 8188

Thank you, that worked to install the driver, and good messages to advise the user of what is happening. After a reboot, the Wifi for the R-Pi was 'up' and available, I was able to connect with Termius, but it kept dropping out, and I couldn't prove that MQTT-Dash was working because of that. I thin...

Re: driver for wireless Realtek 8188

Funny, just like the original poster, I bought a cheap dongle after checking on an R-Pi site that the Realtek driver was supposed to jsut drop in, but it didn't. If I get it worki9ng I don't want to haev to change nay of my current config, because I also use a zyxel dongle on this same software. (Th...

Re: Starting a MQTT Subscriber service fails

Dougie, thanks for your help. Going back to the 3:23 message, all I did was uninstall RPi.GPIO and reinstall using sudo and it now works. I haven't made any of the other changes.

It works on the test rig, so now to test it in action.
Thanks again.

Re: Starting a MQTT Subscriber service fails

Thanks for all your help on this, from a deep cave in darkest Basingstoke to Deepest Dorset, but a couple of questions before I do this. I have re-installed RPi-GPIO using sudo, and that semed to go ok. You suggest that I add the path /home/pi/python, but I don't have a sub-dir python. And do I add ...

Re: Starting a MQTT Subscriber service fails

R-Pi switched off because Grandchildren are here so cannot see .service file
However, my note taking is better than I thought.

I did:
pip3 install RPi.GPIO
Should it have been 'sudo pip3 install RPi.GPIO'?

Starting a MQTT Subscriber service fails

I have Mosquitto up and running on a Pi and have been trying to get the subscriber to start automatically at startup. Re: MQTT replacing HTML buttons with Flask

HI, I have got it going. Using Mqtt-Dash on my tablet to drive the Mosquitto and my subscriber on the Pi. It is not neat and tidy, there are still things that I don't understand, but it works. If anyone wants the python code to look over, let me know.

MQTT replacing HTML buttons with Flask

For awhile now I have been building a RC Car that contains aR-Pi running flask an HTML button menu, and Python to take input from the HTML and drive the car. Now I am trying to do the same with MQTT. I have MQTT Dash on my tablet (the remote control!) and mosquitto installed on the Pi. I have been a...

The colloquial name is Raspios (raspi-O.S.) not something-BIOS. Bios is a PC thing, not applicable here. The first link makes no sense at all. The author configures both wpa_supplicant and hostapd and apparently expects them to work both at the same time on the same interface. I suggest you follow ...

Raspbios and WiFi Access Point

Can anyone help or advice. I have a system working as an Access Point and using Flask to give me independence of in-house networks. It works on both a R-Pi B rev 2 with a Zyxel ZD1211 Wifi Dongle and also on a R-Pi ZeroW, I wanted a duplicate and was unable to do a diskcopy so created a new one from...

One way of getting around the problem is to not use Python.
Using https://www.w3schools.com/css/css_grid.asp
I have created my grid in HTML, and my program is running well now.
