Re: Accessing Internet from Pi using USB Tethering of Androi

Type this:
sudo nano /etc/network/interfaces

It will bring up the file you need to edit.

Add what you want to the bottom of file.

Then save file this way:

Hold Ctrl key down and hit o not zero
Release Ctrl key and hit Enter
Hold Ctrl key down and hit x

The file is now saved with the added info.

Re: JuiceSSH no work

I found something interesting. JuiceSSH works with a Pi Zero without the W. The W version always grabs 192.168.0.105 and doesn't work. An older Pi Zero and Raspberry Pi 2 B+ always grabs 192.168.0.102 and works. For the test I use a USB powered hub with a wi-fi dongle and mini keyboard dongle plugge...

Re: JuiceSSH

Was able to ping tablet at 192.168.0.104 with Pi Zero W from 192.168.0.105
Fing is now on the tablet and running at same time as JuiceSSH. With Fing I can ping tablet from pi zero. But can't ping pi zero from the tablet.

JuiceSSH no work

First of all, I may be wrong. And this problem may be already known. I have not been able to get JuiceSSH on a Android smartphone or tablet to fully connect a Pi Zero W. If I use a Raspberry Pi B+, with same SD card, no problem. JuiceSSH looks like it's going to connect, but then times out. Maybe th...

Re: JuiceSSH

Yes, I see both on the same Netgear router. Pi shows up as pizero and IP 192.168.0.102 and the cell shows up as Android and a bunch of numbers and letters and IP 192.168.0.100 Both have MAC addresses.

See Connecting ... then after 2-3 minutes I see timeout. I can SSH OK to Pi Zero W from Mint box on same router. Checked setup a number of times. User is pi, password has been changed from raspberry, IP is 192.168.0.102, port is 22, Nickname is My Pi, Type is SSH. Don't know what to try next.

Termius problem

I'm trying to get Termius working. I see Raspberry Pi has an article here: https://www.raspberrypi.org/documentation/remote-access/ssh/android.md I get as far as seeing a green widget saying Connected on my Android app called Termius to the Pi Zero W. But, after that I see a white screen and place m...

Whiptail with Python

I understand raspi-config uses whiptail for it's menu system. I have a Python script that needs a small menu as an upgrade. Whiptail is a BASH or shell program. Could I incorporate it in my Python program easily?

Jessie updates

I use Linux Mint regularly and get updates every week or sooner. It gives one the feeling I have the newest improvements all the time. Could not Jessie get updates like Mint instead of a complete new version every few months? This would save me from having to archive all my data on a stick to put ba...

Can't See Keyboard.

I just received the Official Foundation Display from Element 14. I have it connected to my RPi 3 as shown in many tutorials. All is well except no keyboard. I see mouse action on screen OK. I'm using the latest Jessie, 4/10/17. I'm using a 2 amp PS. I've connected the ribbon and powered the display ...
