Tagging it as solved, I've done everything in one evening and I even like it more the way I did it this time.
Lesson learned: BEFORE I wired up everything again, I've taken the pi into my daily backup prayers, so I won't wine again.

Negative with TestDisk, I've tried, but it doesn't show the SD card, whereas other SD cards are being shown.
I guess, doing it twice (develop everything from my head) will give me a lot of practice and I agree, the second time will be certainly quicker.
