Re: Network bonding problem (eth0 + wlan0)

I took your advice and reverted back to latest stable release and now wifi reconnect ok without wpa-roam need so it look like the development kernel was the problem. apt-get install --reinstall raspberrypi-bootloader raspberrypi-kernel apt-get dist-upgrade uname -a Linux rpi3 4.9.35-v7+ #1014 SMP Fr...

Re: Network bonding problem (eth0 + wlan0)

I was using a identical configuration ( except my bonding interface it have static IP ) for some time on my rpi3, and I seen in time a serious problem after wifi loss with wifi not auto reconnecting. For some time I had this solved with using: wpa-roam ... Now after I updated to: Linux rpi3 4.14.93-...

Re: Is this the correct way to install the watchdog package?

Thank you for update. p.s. Now the first message in the topic it is 99% confusing for the first time reader ( and not only them ) with old useless info still tagged with [EDITED] and [UPDATE] instead of removed from message. Users will still think they need watchdog package installed and it is not t...

Re: Is this the correct way to install the watchdog package?

@paulv editing a previous post is not a good idea if you add new / update info because there is no notification for users flowing this thread. At least please add a last message with what post is updated if something important you discovered/changed. By chance I re-read all this thread today and I f...

Re: Network problem on wlan0 only, not on eth0.

Thank you for the answer I will have a look at links provided.

I think I will go with bonding as I already implemented this on my laptop and it is working properly.

Re: please help me by making a script.

I just edited: /etc/default/mumble-server # 0 = don't start, 1 = start MURMUR_DAEMON_START=1 # 0 = don't use capabilities, 1 = start process as root and drop to non-privileged user # If started as root, mumble will keep the CAP_NET_ADMIN privilege and drop # all others. This allows it to set high-pr...

Re: CPU temperature a system status monitor

I made on my RPI3 a small bash script that is running every 15 min and save the CPU temp in a file located in a share that can be accessed remotely ( by www or samba/ftp... ). Change your paths ( for save data and stored scripts ) as you need: #!/bin/sh CPUD=`/opt/vc/bin/vcgencmd measure_temp` data=...

Re: Latest upgrade broke my Samba shares

have a look in samba.conf if you have the line:

Code: Select all

follow symlinks = no
delete it and will make the shares work again.
