Re: Pi 3 + Plex Server + WD Myclous NAS

Using nano, I was able to get it to work! the vi didn't allow me to return to a new line. Now, I have another question, How do I delete directories I've created? I know mkdir allows you to create a directory. How do I delete one?

I only managed to get to creating a new directory. The terminal didn't allow me to add a line in the /etc/fstab file.

There's this guy too, but he moves too fast and I can't read the code. Then, some of the code didn't work on my RPi3

Re: Video (MP4 or MOV) App

Can you post a picture of what you're seeing? OmxplayerGUI is one of the best and it's always worked for me. I would but can't seem to be able to upload images here. It keeps saying my file is too large no matter how small I try to make it. http://bit.ly/2oNjCfp http://bit.ly/2oaMdtE Here are a cou...

Accessing files from a NAS

I have a MyCloud HD connected to the router that I have my RP3 connected to. I can access my folders and view the files in those folders, but after having to log onto the folder twice each time I want to access the folder (which really sucks) I can't seem to open most files. When a file is on a thum...

Video (MP4 or MOV) App

Right now I'm using the omxplayerGUI player to play my video files. It's not that great really. It always seems to play my videos off to one corner and there is no way to completely see the whole picture without resizing it. Do you guys know of any other video players that may work better? I'm using...

Re: Official Rapberry Pi Touchscreen

Prefix the command with "sudo" so that you are running it with root privileges. My setup runs it as part of the root cron, where one starts by usung "sudo crontab -e", putting the command in there (no sudo needed, it will already sun as root). i typed in sudo echo 250 > /sys/class/backlight/rpi_bac...

Re: Official Rapberry Pi Touchscreen

I actually just learned from more searching that the resolution can be adjusted in the terminal using

Code: Select all

sudo nano /boot/config.txt
I changed my resolution to 1200x720. I still can't change the brightness however...

Re: Official Rapberry Pi Touchscreen

To control the backlight brightness: echo 250 > /sys/class/backlight/rpi_backlight/brightness The range is 0 to 255. Like any LCD display, the imgae is best viewed at the screens native resolution. As I understand it, tvservice is for controlling the HDMI interface, not the DSI that the RPF screen ...

Official Rapberry Pi Touchscreen

I just purchased the 7 inch Touchscreen display and Smarticase for my Pi. I wanted to know if it's possible to change the resolution on the screen so I can see even more of the webpages when online. Even if it means everything appears smaller. I tried tvservice -m CEA and tvservice -m DMT, but no lu...

Re: SD Card Copier

Since we don't know what you're trying it is next to impossible to tell you what's wrong as most of our crystal balls went offline in the "Great Crystal Ball Disaster" of 1989. The Raspbian GUI has a "piclone" program that should do what you want. Lol, you'll have to pardon me, I'm a noob. I think ...
