Re: can't unzip dot img files

Well I give up, evidently I must be a complete moron because I've tried everything from clearing my browser cache to using Winzip, Winrar, 7-zip & utorrent. I still can't unzip the dot img files. I never thought that downloading & unzipping an img file to load onto an SD card would be such a pain in...

Can't unzip dot img files

Well I've tried Winzip, 7-zip & Winrar & they're not able to recognize & unzip a dot img file. I basically get the same error message from them that says they are not a valid archive. So I guess I'll have to rely on buying preloaded SD cards to use my Raspberry Pi. Unless somebody knows how I can ge...

Re: Preloaded SD Cards

You can find them on eBay. If you have access to a card & interface for Windows or Mac we can talk you through making your own. Or getting a friend to do it for you. I might have to go this route & buy a preloaded SD card because I'm not having any luck getting the debian squeeze file that I downlo...

Re: debian zip file

This file has been download thousands of times now and I don't recall anyone having difficulty with the zip file. You might want to think about doing some housekeeping on your PC; deleting caches, temp files, etc. If the first one got corrupted you might just be overwriting it and repeating the sam...

Re: debian zip file

A bit obvious but I would download it again. The page is http://www.raspberrypi.org/downloads though most people seem to be going for Wheezy now. It is technically a beta but a number of issues in Squeeze have been resolved and appears very stable. http://www.raspberrypi.org/archives/1435 I have do...

Can't unzip the Debian zip file

I can't get the debian6-19-04-2012.zip file to unzip. I've redownloaded it several times & it still won't unzip. Can anyone provide some help otherwise I'm stuck with a useless Raspberry Pi paperweight. :(
