Re: No display on monitor without safe mode selected

I have an HP 2011x and I've not been able to get my pi's to work with this display even in safe mode.

Have the latest version and have tried the current kernel release as well as 4.9

Re: Anybody else having trouble setting the keyboard?

I'm getting this error over SSH on a headless pi. Just for some clarification: Does a keyboard need to be physically hooked up to the pi to get this to work? The reason I ask is that the screen the pi is currently outputting to (not quite headless) has a 128x64 monochrome display, and cannot enter r...

Re: Help writing an overlay (dts / device tree) for an ssd13

Hey, I know this thread is almost a year old, but I was wondering if anyone in here figured this out? I want to use this SSD1307 driver in 1306 mode (since it supports it) but I'm not sure where to start. If I had to guess, the ssd1307fb module needs to be loaded in /etc/modules so it runs on boot (...

Re: Multiple LCD touchscreen display

Wow!!!! that's really amazing! I just wanted to comment that since I have nothing substantial to say lol. Since the wiring description, and the displays are provided, my guess is that you have trouble with the software side of things? While i'm no expert in linux (someone more qualified than me can ...

Remove release fbtft SPI module?

So, I've been playing with the fbtft / fbtft_device modules, and while it works great, I noticed I can't write to the SPI bus after the module has been loaded, which makes sense. The question I have is, is it possible to unload the fbtft modules and then reload the standard SPI bus modules? I.e., I ...

Re: XPT2046 Touch Screen instructions for Raspbery Pi 3

Posting to subscribe to this lol. I have a 5" waveshare clone and while the instructions got my display's input to work, it's not calibrated and I can't get it to seem to calibrate using the instructions for xinput-calibrator... I replaced the stuff in the .conf file, but the touch screen is just as...

Shrinking Pi images

So I've tried every trick I can find to shrink sd card images... The main error I run into is that resize2fs complains that I can't shrink the partition down to xxxx amount of sectors... but when I do the math, that's equivalent to the entire SD card! when it clearly shows that I have 800mb (on a 2g...

Pi Zero W wifi not running on old SD

I've had a bunch of strange issues with the Pi Zero W. One SD card refuses to light up the power LED Another SD card doesn't want to start/use the onboard WiFi I ran a dist-upgrade on both SD cards. Not sure what to do other than to do fresh images... Any ideas? I'd rather not have to reinstall ever...

How to recover from corruption? (wpa_supplicant issue)

So, I have several pis, and for a few minutes while trying to figure out what happened to one of them, I thought something went wrong in the latest distribution... I eventually discovered that wpa_supplicant no longer works on one of them (and only one of them). All of them have been updated to the ...
