Re: USB WIFI weird results

Are you using a powered USB hub? WiFi devices need a lot of power when they are transmitting. Does your RPi have USB polyfuses? These are in the corner of the board next to the USB ports and have "14" written on them. No I'm not, it was plugged in directly to the pi. I have figured tho the USB devi...

USB WIFI weird results

So I'm trying to setup my RPi to be a small little router now until I get an actual router. Anyways all was well for a bit, but anytime I try to put a load on the wifi adapter it will just get reset(loses IP address and such, have to do ifup/ifdown n such). It doesn't disconnect fully. However, afte...

Re: OpenELEC 4 Debian

Edit: I do have squeeze tho, if that makes a diff, then I know where the problem is lol.... Right now I have an issue with OpenElec's playing videos, whenever I try, it opens them I see the network light blink and the tv just goes to a ton of random lines and a horrid sound comes out lol....(no I do...

SSH play script for omxplayer

Hi guys, from reading a diff post on trying to do ssh to omxplayer and such and having the problem of seeing text on the screen with 16:9 movies on a 4:3 screen. Do in the editor of choice, I use nano, nano play.sh (you can use just play if you like) Put this in there and save. #!/bin/bash # prevent...

Re: Squeeze is only debian that works

Does Squeeze image on the same sdcard work okay with latest firmware (if you run rpi-update on squeeze you will get the same firmware as on wheezy)? Yes it works perfect, I'm actually on it right now, I reflashed it about 20 min ago and readding all my stuff. Seems to be alright, didn't have any pr...

Re: Ethernet adapter problem

Are all of your LEDs on beside the red light? Do you get anything for eth0 if you do "ifconfig" in the console?

Squeeze is only debian that works

So I've had my fair share of fun the past couple days with my pi, however I've come to realize only squeeze will boot(after latest kernel update), wheezy, I hope i'm getting these names right lol..., and arch won't boot at all. With wheezy all I get is the pi logo on the screen, the cursor blinks fo...

Re: Pi with 16GB SanDisk Extreme Class 10 45MB/s WORKING

Hi there - I'm having the same problem with the Sandisk Extreme 16GB card - but when I replace the files suggested the pi refuses to boot at all - red power light only. If I revert, I'm back to mmc interrupt errors I notice that the files have been updated since the post - is it possible they are b...

Re: Help test the next Debian image (wheezy)

Hello, I've been trying to boot Wheezy, but with no luck it refuses to boot, the green LED stays off and the red LED stays solid. All I get is the Raspberry Pi logo showing up and the cursor coming up and disappearing. Is there actually something it does during the first boot in the background or is...
