Re: asterisk + GSM + softphone

Hello, Did you have a look at netcat ("nc") ? On the first computer, you can have nc output to the IP address/port combination of the other computer. On the other one, you can have netcat listen for data coming in that same specific port... This seems to me one of the possible ways to go, and it wou...

Re: Turn on an LED when connected to wifi

Bbuschke, you may want to have a look at the post of by pcmanbob dated Thu Feb 09, 2017 8:06 pm In there, you should change the /3 into /2 Actually, if it were me having this problem, I would even change it into a /1 because this script isn't exactly a very expensive script in terms of processing po...

Re: DNSSEC validation www.raspberrypi.org is ABANDONED

Nice to know, and nice to see it works now. However, without insisting : if you make ntpd.conf DNS- independant (not the hardest thing to do), and insert the statement "ntpd -gq" right before starting the named daemon (in the start- part of /etc/init.d/bind9, see my solution 3), you don't have to wa...

Re: Turn on an LED when connected to wifi

I once had a similar issue. I added a script to /etc/init.d/rc.local (call it e.g. "/home/myusername/bin/myscript.sh"), with a trailing ampersand ("&") so as to have it execute in the background. The script "/home/myusername/bin/myscript.sh" itself was (is) ever-running in an endless loop. Beware, i...

Re: Turn on an LED when connected to wifi

If you would be willing to "sacrifice" one of the raspberry's own LEDs, you wouldn't need to do all that hassle with GPIO pins and self-made electronic circuits. Instead, you could use libusb...

Re: DNSSEC validation www.raspberrypi.org is ABANDONED

Are you sure your time is correct on the RaspberryPI ? If it isn't, DNSSEC is crippled. And ntp fails to fetch the outside world's correct time, as it doesn't have a working named. A chicken-or-egg problem, so to say ... You might want to have a look at https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=TMiIZNjY3vs&t=...
