Re: Forum Link on Home Page
Hi folk, there was an issue with some styling deployed this afternoon which did indeed cause issues for mobile viewing / navigation - apologies for that! Fixes have been pushed and we'll keep an eye on things to make sure it has all been resolved.

Re: Security warning on raspberrypi.org?
Thanks for the note, I'll try to explain what's happening here... When LastPass fills in the forum login form it inserts the username into the `username` field as below: Screenshot 2019-10-09 at 10.27.53.png At the bottom of the page, you'll see there's a newsletter sign up form - this uses a servic...

Re: posting or replies blocked
We have various firewall rulesets in place because, well, this is a forum and they're historically not the most secure pieces of software :| The relevant rules have been tweaked. Sorry for the faff, as ever with these things there are going to be false-positives when attempting to prevent the possib...

Re: Cannot Search Forum
Forum search has been hit particularly hard over the last 3 days so we've enabled some temporary limits to try to keep the forums up and accessible to as many people as possible. These limits mean that, for now, many people will see issues when using functionality that relies on the search backend (...

Re: A new level of seasickness
Makes you wonder what hardware the web designers are using? i7's with GTX1080? Quite a mix, for me: 1.2 GHz Intel Core M w/ Intel HD Graphics 5300 We test on a variety of Pis (often over VNC, where performance is further impacted). However as mentioned above, work is ongoing (/ never-ending) especi...

Re: A new level of seasickness
Changing the homepage for the first time in ~ 4 years was always going to rattle the cage ;) Interestingly, the homepage is now loading (and thus becomes usable) 3x faster than the previous one (mean avg over 13 distributed regions), always plenty more work to do and critical feedback is most welcom...

Re: STICKY: NEW FORUM SKIN - Comments here please.
Yes not enough contrast, hence one gets distracted from the actual comments. Contrast has been bumped up since this post: https://www.raspberrypi.org/forums/viewtopic.php?f=63&t=189117&p=1255999#p1229175 (post body text, as well as post meta / profile text, passes the WCAG AAA guidelines fo...

On the top Since you say the post's user info is 'On the top' I'm assuming you're viewing this on a narrow-width screen where the forum layout shifts to single-column (see attached). If this is the case, hit the username and you'll be taken to the user's profile page where you can then send a PM.

Re: STICKY: NEW FORUM SKIN - Comments here please.
Since the update I've struggled to get the Forum search to work. Certain searches always result in a "we are currently experiencing high traffic" page. We've been seeing some issues with phpbb's native fulltext search since the upgrade to 3.2, currently investigating a few options so hope...

Yippee - hamburger menu available at all times (well all the time I need it anyway) in RPi theme Thanks :) A few updates have been deployed to RPi this morning, this being one of them. On that note, we've moved users on the raspberry_pi theme onto RPi since it provides a much better experience in g...

Re: STICKY: NEW FORUM SKIN - Comments here please.
Body text of posts is very light grey in thin font, not very comfortable for me to read. Is there any way I can change the font? I'm running Firefox ESR 52.2.0 (64 bit) on a Debian 8 box if that helps. It's #555, so a pretty dark grey. Does the image below represent what you're seeing? Screengrab: ...
