Use a PI zero as an electronic switch

What I want to do is to use my PI zero as a switch, like the one on electric circuits, which can be triggered on/off (electricity passes/doesnt pass) remotely, like with a smartphone or computer. If it is possible (i suppose it is) how can I do that? Which GPIO pins do I need to use? Thanks in advan...

Thanks! But I'm pretty new in this world, and I dont have experience with GPIO further than <doing a thing I can't mention here related to GPIO 4>. Which are the ones I have to solder?
