Re: watchdog error: cannot set timeout 60 (errno = 22 = 'Invalid argument')

After reading everything you said (thanks again) and reading various, sometimes conflicting resources, I've decided to go with the following: - uncomment max-load-5 = 18 and max-load-15 = 12 (/etc/watchdog.conf) - uncomment watchdog-device = /dev/watchdog (/etc/watchdog.conf) - add watchdog-timeout ...

Re: watchdog error: cannot set timeout 60 (errno = 22 = 'Invalid argument')

Thank you again for your reply I found this post (https://www.raspberrypi.org/forums/viewtopic.php?p=1458220) It tells me to do 3 things: - add ` watchdog-timeout = 15 ` to /etc/watchdog.conf. This appears to work, the error has disappeared. - In /etc/systemd/systemd.conf, change #RuntimeWatchdogSec...

Re: watchdog error: cannot set timeout 60 (errno = 22 = 'Invalid argument')

could you please explain in more detail, what it is I need to change, in order to eliminate the error. - there is no Max timeout setting in my /etc/watchdog.conf - `quote` A safe value for the watchdog manager is to write every 10 secs. to the device `/quote` How do I achieve this? Thank you for you...

watchdog error: cannot set timeout 60 (errno = 22 = 'Invalid argument')

Sometimes, the pi (model 3B) simply locks up. It doesn't respond at all, so I'm forced to cut the power, NOT a healthy solution, I know. The system is running pihole + unbound and maltrail ( https://github.com/stamparm/maltrail ) on Raspbian buster. So I did some searches and installed watchdog. Whe...

Best way to install perl module CGI::Carp ?

I'm trying to get a perl script running, witch has the following code: `use CGI::Carp qw(fatalsToBrowser); ` Using duckduckgo, I found a webpage (https://wiki.koha-community.org/wiki/How_to_install_missing_Perl_modules_on_Debian), that has some instructions. I ended up using `sudo cpan CGI::Carp`, b...

Re: wpasupplicant update?

Apparently, this is being discussed here (https://www.raspberrypi.org/forums/viewtopic.php?t=235128) It looks like adding the new settings wasn't very successful for this user. Meanwhile, I've added the settings to /etc/wpa_supplicant/wpa_supplicant.conf and rebooted. No problems sofar, but I made s...

Re: wpasupplicant update?

Is the following a correct assumption? In order to restore the original security settings, you need to add the following to /etc/wpa_supplicant/wpa_supplicant.conf tls_disable_tlsv1_0=1 tls_disable_tlsv1_1=1 [email protected]=2 The file (my Raspbian configuration - latest version Nove...

You can find a script to compile and install the latest (v2.77test4) dnsmasq on raspberry pi version march 2017 here.

Re: DNSSEC validation www.raspberrypi.org is ABANDONED

In the meantime, I've been communicating with the developer of dnsmasq, he responded to the statement of the dnscrypt-proxy developer, stating: “When local DNSSEC validation is enabled, dnsmasq 2.77 sends multiple queries on the same TCP connection which is incompatible with DNSCrypt” As a result, t...

Re: DNSSEC validation www.raspberrypi.org is ABANDONED

I'm currently communicating with the developers of both dnsmasq and dnscrypt-proxy, in order to find out what is going on. I will post a reply as soon as this leads to a solution. The developer of dnsmasq may have identified a problem (no solution yet). He made me run the following command (a dnscry...

Re: DNSSEC validation www.raspberrypi.org is ABANDONED

I've already sent an email to [email protected].org, but unfortunately, they do not reply, I don't think they process technical issues. This may be an issue with dnsmasq. The version (2.72-3+deb8u1) included in the current raspbian distribution is worthless (if you're using DNSSEC), so I've upgraded ...

DNSSEC validation www.raspberrypi.org is ABANDONED

As mentioned earlier in this topic , a DNS administrator @raspberry pi.org has added DNSSEC information to the DNS records of archive.raspberrypi.org. As a result, when a DNSSEC enabled DNS server retrieves the DNS information, the DNSSEC information is evaluated. So far, both archive.raspberrypi.or...
