Watch Netflix via OSMC

Hi! My question, issue, is simple. I'm trying to succesfully install an Netlix add-on in OSMC on my RPi, using this https://www.makeuseof.com/tag/netflix-amazon-video-plex-raspberry-pi/ instructions. Problem here is that you need to downgrade the OS to 17.8-225, which isn't available anymore... Does...

VB.net

Hi everyone, A while ago we decided at work to use VB.net as main language for our RPi-experiments. (Because we are a PLC-programmers and not that familiar with high level PC coding like C# etc.) But we now having a lot of struggles to write applications in VB for the Win 10 IoT platform. Simple bas...

Control GPIO with webpage

Hi, There are a couple of different examples on the Internet to control the rpi's GPIO with an simple website. For my application I've written an user interface in HTML & CSS with a couple of button's on it. I also made a Python script where I'm controlling the GPIO outputs with. The next step is to...

Re: Change hostname in network

If you are talking about 'netbios name =' in smb.conf, this is not the hostname, it is however based on the hostname and there is an even quicker way of fixing your problem, just remove the line. It is not required and if it isn't there, Samba will set it for you. Aha thanks thats nice to know! I j...

Re: Change hostname in network

--FIXED--

Found my config problem! I'm using Samba to get access to the rpi folders in Windows explorer. Samba overwrites the hostname, so I had to make the change in the config file of Samba.

Re: Change hostname in network

Hi. so my advice is just use letters and numbers. I'm aware of that. My new hostname should be 'Garage' (first is uppercase). The name is also been accepted because the terminal lines are starting with "[email protected]:~ $". So the local hostname is correct, but the network hostname is probably overwritt...

Change hostname in network

Hi, I'm having some problems changing the rpi's hostname. I've been following these default instructions: https://thepihut.com/blogs/raspberry-pi-tutorials/19668676-renaming-your-raspberry-pi-the-hostname but in the windows explorer network view the name of the rpi is still "RASPBERRYPI". I double c...

Re: Keyboard settings over Remote Desktop

........Can you tell me why you prefer RealVNC? I'm new to this..... IMO RVNC viewer is much better. - Much more secure connection. - Copy & Paste works (to/from RPi) - There is a built in file transfer tool (to/from RPi). - Auto reconnect on RPi reboot. - User and password can be saved for 1 click...

Re: Keyboard settings over Remote Desktop

DL was stating NOT to use Microsofts Remote desktop Protocol, but switch to using RealVNC as it is included with the latest version of the RPFs Raspbian Jessie with Pixel. https://www.realvnc.com/raspberrypi/ Oh ok, I thought that DL suggest replacing xrdp with RealVNC , but still connect the compu...

Keyboard settings over Remote Desktop

Hi, I have some troubles using windows remote desktop. I'm living in Belgium so we use the French azerty keyboards. When I start a remote session with remote desktop and xrdp, the default keyboard is qwerty. I tried to change the layout by mouse and keyboard settings but that seams to be not availab...
