That is true, however it cannot be applied to addons written for osmc. It can only be applied to scripts ran outside of addons, and I must have this written in an addon to utilize the xbmc library. Yes because OSMC does not allow root access, WiringPi's core functions do not work, only the GPIO utility. I am using the buttons to control kodi (next, vol up, vol down, pause, etc.) However I am not coding the instructions directly to the buttons. The button mappings will be customizable, as in th...
