Hardware T&L

Does the VideoCore IV support Hardware Transform & Lighting(or Hardware TCL) and would it compare to something like a Nvidia Geforce 2 or Riva TNT2?
Thanks in advance

Anyone Wanna Play Rise of the Triad?

I saw that Rise of the Triad is getting a remake, so I downloaded the linux port source code and compiled it. Here is a tar.gz file containing the shareware files. There is a second folder containing the binary for the retail version however the retail versions wad files are not included. I have als...

GLU under OpenGL ES 1

It looks like a few years back someone shoe horned GLU's API on to the Pandora system that only supported OpenGL ES. There is a git hub listed here: http://github.com/Cpasjuste/SDL-13/tree and the Pandora driver is in the: SDL-13 / src / video / pandora branch of that git hub. To initialize the driv...

Doom 64 Ex on the Raspberry Pi

Doom 64 Ex is a recreation of the original N64 game(one of my favorite games ever at that), not a total conversion. svkaiser created it for Windows and very recently it was ported it to Linux. http://doom64ex.wordpress.com/ Anyways right now it runs well on the Raspberry Pi(ram usage with a GUI is s...

Re: E17 on Raspbian

Automake1.7 bug, it compiled just fine under 1.7 on your image but it didn't on Dark Basics. Swapping it out for 1.9 for some reason worked.

Re: E17 on Raspbian

Im trying to move this project on to Dark Basics image that is stripped down to the core. Ive installed all the dependencies that I believe are applicable: Reconfigure locales to set the country: dpkg-reconfigure locales Install Cython 0.16 Dependancies: apt-get install python-dev wget http://pypi.p...

E17 on Raspbian

I have E17 running like OSX in software compositing: it has support for hardware gpu support when the xorg drivers are finished. I am most thankful of Mike Thompson for building a rock solid foundation. I plan to roll out my own distribution once that driver becomes available to hook in to E17. Righ...

automake1.7 & build-essential

This might be a n00b question, however valid. I installed a newer version of automake and GCC from the Raspbian repositories. Will the raspberry pi still compile for hard float by default or will I have to set flags on newer versions?
Thanks in advance.

The @ key shows up as ", and the # key shows up as UK Pounds(as in money). Is anyone else having this issue with this keyboard and Debian squeeze?

Setting up the display, anyone know the optimal settings?

I was able to get config.txt to work using these settings on my 720p projector. Anyone know the optimal settings for a 1080p screen. I ordered a DVI display off Amazon today. hdmi_force_hotplug=1 hdmi_mode=4 framebuffer_width=1280 framebuffer_height=720 overscan_top=-32 overscan_bottom=-32 overscan_...

Having trouble the TV says the video mode is unsupported.

It will not show up at all, not even the command line. I followed these instructions http://elinux.org/R-Pi_ConfigurationFile#How_to_edit_from_OSX And I am still having trouble. What config files would you guys recommend for 1080p 60hz Hdmi NTSC. I think I have my settings set correctly. Any ideas?
