rsync?

rsync is good for only updating what has changed.
Yes I thought about rsync, but as we're dealing with images, it was quite tricky.

I think RonR's tool is what I'm looking for.

I'll dig in that direction.

Thanks for the help.

Is there a way to update my backup sd card

Hi I was till now using the usefull tool "Sd Card Copier" to make a spare backup of my currently used SD card. But as this one evolve every day when I install new feature on it, I would prefer a way where only the added or modified file are updated on the backup sd card instead of completely rewriti...

Re: Powering my RPi projects using buck converters

Ah, ok about tghe 2 heat sink.

I didn't pay attention to them despite it's clearly said you've used them !

What heatsink and what glue did you used to keep them in place ? I'm not talking about thermal grease but glue !)

Any chance to get a closer picture from it ?

Re: Powering my RPi projects using buck converters

What would be the point ?

I'm not PCB designer and have no ability in that derection.

Plus, if you look at thet MP1584 datasheet, you must care a lot about the PCB design !

Re: Powering my RPi projects using buck converters

Reading this thread, I've ordered 10 MP1584EN buck converter for different project including RPi4. It seems to work ok with the RP64 as desktop, but they hardly handle more than 1.5-1.6A max instead of the 3A advertised ! At more amp than 1.6A, I think they become too hot and the security comes into...

Red led ON, Green led slightly on, What does it mean ?

HI.

My Pi 4 cannot start any more.

The red led is ON, and the green led is steady slightly ON, no matter if there is an SD card or not !

What that led status does means ?

Re: Powering my RPi projects using buck converters

It is well known that SMD electrolytics like those in the buck converter boards in LTolledo's photos are extremely prone to failure. Loss of capacitance and increased ESR. They are not suitable for the level of ripple current encountered in switch mode converters delivering the current that RPis re...

Raspberry pi 4 stick on strange IP, even when static ip has been set from internet router

Hi I don't know what happened on my almost new install of BUSTER, but I can't get my raspberry pi 4/BUSTER on the static IP address I've set from my router. I'm now quite used to assign a static IP address to my Pi from my DHCP router to easily reach (with ssh, VNC) my Pi locally or even from outsid...

Isn't there a way to store these parameters in a file to put on the SD card, then just insert the SD card into the Pi and go without the need to go all the way through the configuration steps ? Hi When installing newly burned SD card in the Pi, you always need to set up the WiFi credential, keyboard layout, time zone etc...sometime the display's settings Some of these settings are stored in /boot.config.txt (like display's settings), but WiFi credential, keyboard layout, time zone etc.. ne...
