Re: HDMI Splitter

I would also be very interested if anyone has got this working. I tried boosting the output using config_hdmi_boost=4 but with no luck. It boosts up to 7 but I didn't know that at the time. My pi is now tucked neatly in a flight case and getting it out is a huge faff. Can someone else with this prob...

Re: Switching Audio Output with a Button

I had to add the following to config.txt to prevent the audio being awful (white noise): disable_audio_dither=1 Unfortunately my HDMI splitter caused prevented an image appearing on the hdmi cctv screen I've fit in the box so I have had to remove the splitter for the time being until I figure out wh...

Re: Pi 3 CPU Fan

I bought this set: http://amzn.to/1WDOKsB Needs a bit of dremeling to fit properly around the micro usb and 3.5mm jack connectors. Also a bit of a pain to remove the SD card unless you remove some material from there. I soldered an inline 15ohm resistor to the fan to slow it down a bit (was quite no...

Switching Audio Output with a Button

I am building a SNES in a box with a 10" HDMI screen. Unfortunately the screen has no audio so I have set the default audio to the 3.5mm jack using raspi-config and have a small speaker connected. I also have an HDMI splitter that goes to a female HDMI port in the side of the box in case I want to p...

Re: which is better

Noob you deserve a medal for your patience! I got frustrated just reading this thread... Nexusrex buy the raspberry pi and start tinkering and then ask questions when you get stuck. There is very little you can do to break it and almost everything you ask is searchable via google. If you had the ras...

Re: Unreal Speccy Portable - ZX Spectrum emulator

Must add that all the other keys that I had to remap with loadkeys work unreal_speccy_portable. The arrow keys and "o" are the only ones that don't seem to. Not a huge problem in games and i have swapped the keymap so that the arrow keys don't require the shift key combo. Will only be a problem if i...

Re: Unreal Speccy Portable - ZX Spectrum emulator

Hi Andrey, Thanks for your reply. Haven't had a chance to try fuse yet but "o" is 164 because I have my pi in an old spectrum with the membrane keyboard plugged into a flexible rubber keyboard USB controller. Also found that I couldn't use caps shift+ 6 (or 7) to move down or up menu (works in conso...

Re: RetroPie - 4 player multitap Snes

Did anyone ever get 4 controllers to work with a SNES emulator in retropie? I have two SNES like USB controllers and thinking of getting two more but don't want to waste my money if its not going to work.

Re: Unreal Speccy Portable - ZX Spectrum emulator

Hi Andrey, not sure if you are still working on this program or not but I've found a bug whereby keys with keycodes over a certain number aren't recognised. I.e. I have the line keycode 164 = "o" in my loadkeys map file and it works at the console but not in the emulator. I've also found that pressi...

Re: Unreal Speccy Portable - ZX Spectrum emulator

Got this running with the zx membrane keyboard mapped but have problems with the mapping when I go into the emulator. If you could add shortcuts to the menu items that would be incredibly helpful as the main problem is navigating this. I.e. pressing q when the menu is up exits etc.

Re: Frankenspectrum!

Hi Bennya, Very impressed with your build! Saw the same beagleboard spectrum on flickr and have been building my raspectrum using unreal speccy portable. Mine however is nowhere near as cool as yours and I particularly like your built in speakers and wifi! In my case I need to add an Esc key as a pu...

Run a file after login

Hi all, Asked a similar question over in the gaming section but haven't had a response so thought I would post here. I have set user "pi" to auto login on boot and now I would like USP to start automatically after this. How can I do this? Read something about /etc/profile but don't understand it eno...

Unreal Speccy Portable

Incredibly noob question but I have struggled to find a clear method that works. I have set user "pi" to auto login on boot and now I would like USP to start automatically after this. How can I do this? At the moment I have to type: cd /usp [press enter] then ./unreal_speccy_portable [enter] What is...

Is my Pi faulty?

Hi guys, I bought two Raspberry Pi's (first one was from farnell and the latest from RS). Been having problems with one of them (the one from RS) that I never encountered on the first. Using the same sd cards, methods and even trying new sd cards faults arise in different situations. Most recently i...

Re: Android Transporter

If your TV is on your network can you not use that to stream from your android phone? Samsung Galaxy S2 has something called Allshare which allows you to stream to a DLNA client or a Windows Home group (even though the home group itself is an abomination  ) You're quite right but it's still th...

Have you guys got a PS3 or Xbox (or smart TV with dlna client) ? If so Skifta does a good job of streaming from a Android tablet to a media client. I use a PS3. Re: Android Transporter

Been having the same problem trying to find an answer too. What I have found is that ASUS aren't an approved MHL supplier (or words to that affect) although I think that the I/O developer Nexus 7's have an HDMI port and MHL active in the USB? Some people saying it has been turned off in software so ...

Re: Android Transporter

Well, that's fantastic news. If they release the raspberry pi stuff for free, I would pay a small sum depending on features and lag (i.e. £3 if it is only good for streaming video and £5 if it's good enough to use for gaming) to get the Android software ad free from google play. I've spent the last ...

Android Transporter

Hi, Does anyone know if this software will be free or is it going to be sold for the R-Pi. I'm curious as I have just pre-ordered a Nexus 7 and without MHL or HDMI there is no way to get content onto a TV (besides spending £££ on a Nexus Q). Also, as I can't watch the video (at work at the moment) I...

Hi MrZammler, Would it be too much to ask how you got fuse running with SDL? I'm dying to get this working (with sound) on either arch or debian. On Debian I installed libsdl1.2-dev but when it came to ./configure --with-sdl (in fuse source folder) it throws up error: checking for sdl-config... no c...

Does anone have the sound working on the Debian version? I could use help there  Sound works fine if built --with-sdl. It also gives you a fullscreen speccy! :D No need to boot into X, you can run Fuse quite happily from the command line. Basically to install, just follow the details already ...
