Re: Raspberry pi-Arduino communication, cannot send data from rpi to arduino.

You can't use the physical serial on the Arduino to communicate with another device while the Serial Monitor is open. That's why you're getting "device busy". If you need to use the Serial Monitor while communicating with other devices, instantiate and use a Software Serial interface for the Pi comm...

I though Gordon was the author of WiringPi.
*RPi::WiringPi*. It's a high level Perl distribution that uses my WiringPi::API, another Perl distribution which directly wraps Gordon's wiringPi.

Re: RPi::WiringPi is not found despite being linked to

I'm the author of RPi::WiringPi.

Can you please explain by what you mean by "not found"? What's not found, the actual module? How did you install it? Can you share the script you're using that fails?

Re: Wiring Pi in C and Raspberry Pi 2 modle B v1.1?

With wiringPiSetupSys() initialization, you have to manually export the pins before you use them. Per the documentation: Note: In this mode you can only use the pins which have been exported via the /sys/class/gpio interface before you run your program. You can do this in a separate shell-script, or...

Re: Perl RPi-WiringPI Support for PIFACE Digital

The SPI version is not supported in the RPi::GPIOExpander::MCP23017 distribution, as I don't have an SPI version of the chip for testing.

Currently, it only supports the i2c model. I'll update the software if I ever get my hands on the SPI version.

Re: WiringPi + Perl - button inputs randomly stop working

I'm the author of RPi::WiringPi. Can you please post the wiring diagram you're using? Also, what version of RPi::WiringPi are you using? (eg: perl -MRPi::WiringPi -e 'print $RPi::WiringPi::VERSION' ). Update: There's no settings that you're missing with the simple code you added to your post. Perhap...

Re: raspberrypi.org API?

If you are going to build a service around this perhaps check, via email, with someone in authority at RPF that it is a 'stable' interface before committing to using it? I was just about to ask about the stability of the data. I've got an email in already, so I'll post back when I receive any infor...

Re: raspberrypi.org API?

This looks very much what I'm looking for, particularly the JSON files.

I'd never run into the archive site in the past directly.

I'll do some scouring to get an understanding of everything, and go from there.

Thanks much!

raspberrypi.org API?

Hi all, I'm the author of the WiringPi::API Perl wrapper to Gordon's WiringPi , the RPI::WiringPi Perl distribution that uses *WiringPi::API* and aggregates several other Perl distributions for sensors, ICs etc that I've also written. Recently, I've teamed up with someone who maintains PiFlash , a P...

Re: Issue installing Device::BCM2835 using CPAN

I'm not sure how to solve the issue with that distribution, but depending on what you want to do with Perl, perhaps my RPi::WiringPi or my direct wiringPi wrapper WiringPi::API may do the job.

Re: wiringPiI2CWriteReg16() and Arduino discrepancies

First off, thanks for the responses. Second, I have to apologize. I should have actually checked the version as opposed to simply stating "v2.36+", as I am actually on 2.44: $ gpio -v gpio version: 2.44 Copyright (c) 2012-2017 Gordon Henderson This is free software with ABSOLUTELY NO WARRANTY. wiringPiI2CWriteReg16() and Arduino discrepancies

Hi all, Long time lurker, first question. I am the author of WiringPi::API Perl wrapper for Gordon's wiringPi (amongst a bunch of other RPi related software on the CPAN ). Due to writing and building an automated CI test platform for some of my code, I needed to integrate with an Arduino via I2C for...

Re: New wiringPi released

Thanks Gordon! On the website, you state: "Fixed the spurious first interrupt issue with the “ISR” code...". Can you expand on that? I'm curious to know whether it fixes an issue I had while wrapping wiringPi for use with Perl. Here's the XS code with comments that describe the issue I was having, a...
