Re: Touchscreen Jumpy

Have you removed the DAC to find out if it makes a difference? I tried moving the DAC GND pin to one which the screen does not use, and it seems to make no difference. And, if DAC was causing it, it would have at least some correspondence with audio output from the DAC, but there seems to be none. ...

Re: Rpi3 + Usb + Samba - problem with copying large files

I have done the 'apt-get update' and 'apt-get upgrade' If you have standard Raspbian Stretch installed and it's fully updated you should be on 4.14.52, not 4.14.34 Try to update / upgrade again. If nothing gets updated you need to tell us exactly which OS + version you're running, Also model Pi, if...

I did connect a DAC on the same 5v and ground that the touchscreen is using, if that makes any difference.
Maybe the DAC is interfering with the ground?

no errors. :)
but ls /mnt/seagate shows nothing ??
Try leaving out the 'nofail' option and add 'verbose':

Code: Select all

sudo mount --verbose -o username=cifsuser,password=cifspwd,vers=1.0 \\192.168.1.1\seagate /mnt/seagate

any more ideas? Do you actually use 'password=' (empty password) in fstab? Just wondering, because it looks like you're entering the password when you run 'mount auto' Not sure if mount is happy with that... Been digging a bit deeper (what a mess)

AFAICT you also need package libblas-dev

Code: Select all

sudo apt-get install libblas-dev
There may be more, but ATM I cannot yet identify them

There are a few virtual keyboard programs available, such as florence (https://packages.debian.org/stretch/web/florence)
You can install it with

Code: Select all

sudo apt update
sudo apt install florence
from the command line.
Or use the GUI software utility

Not directly, but you could use an injector.
I have not looked at the link in detail, but you may also need a splitter.

Re: Installing specific version of numphy

In general: if you want to install a specific version of a module you can use something like this: sudo pip install packagename==1.2.3 where 1.2.3 is the version. Your error messages are very hard to read; maybe it gets a bit clearer if you try to install just one package at a time. Less noise that ...

If you're using dnsmasq then I think you should see all the leases in /var/lib/misc/dnsmasq.leases
That does not necessarily mean they are still connected.

Re: Failing to start python GUI on boot up

I add @./home/pi/Desktop/todolist/Todolist.py to the last line and hit 'ctrl+x', 'y' and then 'enter'. ./home (dot slash home) will only work if you're in the root directoru (/). It's very unlikely that it is the working directory when the Pi tries to start the program Remove the dot and try again.

All other Raspberry Pi models can NOT act as USB keyboard. ghans But that's something completely different from what the OP is trying t...
