Re: Hard Float Programming
Well, I would use basically a hf-enabled OS (e.g. Raspbian) to run some heavy calculations on it (for the RPi point of view). Think about some rudimentar AI algorithms, after doing the training on other machine.

Hard Float Programming
I'm thinking about running some rudimentar AI algorithms on the RPi, but then the question comes: which language currently supports hard float? The OS supporting hf is one thing, the other is if the program will actually make use of that.

Re: CPC are here to answer questions :)
Let's say I buy from you a Pi. What will be the shipping method to Brazil? May I choose standard mail instead of a courier and have the guarantee that this choice will be kept?

Re: Latest Order and Shipping update from RS & Allied
No problems. If we knew this fact some time ago (I don't know, perhaps a sticky or an announcement in the main page) made by you from the Foundation or from someone from RS, a lot of threads wouldn't be even created and more people wouldn't be upset, understanding the situation, making the job for t...

Re: Latest Order and Shipping update from RS & Allied
liz, it wasn't neither my intention to be passive-aggressive. But I'd like to point that before anything, we are customers. This doesn't give us the right to be disrespectful, but in the other hand it gives us the full right to be really upset due to the months without any kind of update and lack of...

Re: Latest Order and Shipping update from RS & Allied
Thanks for creating a topic updating the shipping status. Could you kindly inform if you're keeping your word, shipping to Brazil via mail service instead of a courier?

Cancelling an order with RS through PayPal
My order was done 4 weeks ago, with a expected wait time of 11 weeks. However, I sincerely don't trust RS anymore due to their lack of responses here and through email (even with Mike@RS as a subject) and the overwhelming quantity of complaints here. So, the question is if there is indeed a way to o...

Re: QtOnPi device program - last call
Personal Opinion - Surprising how angry people get when they are getting free stuff. I'm not eligible to anything free, but let me comment on this statement. Basically, people doesn't get angry exactly on the way of "I got X thing free, I want it now!". They get angry because they got a p...

Re: Problem with RS Components!?
My order is around the 122k number, therefore it should arrive by October. Nevertheless, I'm afraid of many things: 1. There isn't a proof that RS is keeping their word (said by liz in the topic linked ITT) about shipping to Brazil via postal service (Royal Mail). We just had an announcement from li...

I know that this thread is one month old, but I would like to know if the guys at RS are keeping their promises about sending to Brazil without DHL.

Re: C#, Qt and Python
You can test out your application running under Mono by using Moma http://www.mono-project.com/MoMA . Be sure to match the version with the version of Mono you plan on running. Your app UI will probably appear to be running slower on the rPi (at least it did for mine). Generally, the simpler your a...

Thanks. By "running fine" could I presume that it won't have performance issues too?ProjectMayu wrote:If you use one of the operating systems that have mono 2.10, then running your C# app should be fine, just check each and every part of your app for errors.

C#, Qt and Python
The question: I developed a program in C# and WinForms already. Can I happily use Mono in the RPi or I really need to use, let's say, PyQt? The long story: I'm creating a weather station project that tracks the information from different weather stations to a central, using a microcontroller such as...

I registered interest in May, 23rd and it was expected to receive the invitation yesterday... However I didn't received nothing. Meanwhile I'll keep on going with my weather project I'm planning to use the RPi with. Of course I'll tell everyone here what I'm planning once my unit arrives ;) I recei...
