openELEC Unable to play .vlc MPEG-4

I just downloaded some videos to show off my new setup, the files in question are .vlc and there codecs are MPEG-4 I am running; XMBC 12.0-ALPHA2 Git:b2f7a0d (Compiled: May 31 2012). So should I be able to play these files? if so are there any fixes?

Thanks for the case cutout I didn't have a plan for a case for the raspberry pi so when it arrived yesterday this was a Pi ($) saver and it worked quite well with cereal box cardboard. I thought the testing was done in the UK not at the suppler, but in retrospect that makes sense. Anyway my bad for being impatient, as for burning Teflon I was surprised at how low the melting point is (327 °C) considering it is used for cooking.

Well dam I had a ice cream on the line, I was sure that the raspberry pi would be here yesterday So when do you think it will come? Next week or even later?
