Zytel NSA310

I have another NAS setup but i cannot get this working with the Raspberry and XBian, the NAS works with everything else in the house ok which is a bit strange. I wanted to upgrade my current NAS anyway so i have been looking at t...

To make the screen work, would i just need to use HDMI and USB port and then just configure it?

Olimex TS Screen

Has anyone seen these screens?

https://www.olimex.com/Products/OLinuXi ... 3-LCD7-TS/

I am not that technically minded with hardware, so not sure if this would be easy to use with RPi or not.

It should work in theory but the screen is not a touchscreen is it?

Re: Miracast and the android transporter

I am currently using a DLNA (Digital Living Network Alliance) program to show pictures from my mobile onto the Pi. Only two out of the three mobiles we have in the family work at the moment, but it is very easy to use.

Now we have the 512mb model, does anyone think we could get a VOIP client working. I have been looking around but I am not sure what would be the best client to try out?

I have used a Pi on an old style TV and it worked ok as a media center. I use it to play videos for my child.

Re: Yearly running cost per RasbPi

solar power is free and if you search the forums people have already done it. of course you pay extra by buying panels etc but as it is a hobby it's all part of the fun!

Re: File server with auto synch of folders?

I have a samba share on Pi and use robocopy on my laptop win7 to sync/copy files to the Pi and then use synctoy on my winxp desktop to sync with the Pi. Maybe not the best setup but it works well and i have copies of files also going into dropbox on my winxp desktop so the files get backed up onto t...

Works fine with 128mb MMC. I was confused for a few mins as i can install via wireless but i couldn't find wireless so used wired connection instead.

Re: Minimal webserver distribution (Lighty + PHP + SQLite)

This is a great idea. I have another raspberry pi on order and a few 64mb sd cards laying around. You will need a slightly larger SD card (or a USB stick as secondary storage), because Berryboot reserves exactly 64 mb for the FAT partition that holds the Raspberry firmware and kernel. Not leaving e...
