Tony, I don't need to control laser. It is statically fixed to a box with RPi and a camera. So you get about 255 points. If your robot or UAV or a scanner moves - you get another 255 points. I hope to squeeze all FPS from camera ~ 30 per second. Will see if I can optimize code well enough that it ca...

inexpensive LiDAR

Hi everybody. Got inspired by movie Prometheus.
Wanted to share a project I'm working on, using raspberry pi, webcam a laser pointer and a UAV.

Capture frames as RGB array

I got usb cam working in arch linux with mplayer.
Does anyone know a C code to capture an image from USB webcam as dev/video0 and have it in say 640x480x3 size array?
