Re: Updated for Pi 4 / Buster: Simple Nextcloud Installation on Raspberry Pi

Thanks for your guide. A question - I want to use it to provide an access to a NAS I have. So I'll mount the SMB shares and add links to those files. Since I'm going to have multiple users, each one with their own data, how can I: 1. Create new users? Currently I only have the administrator user tha...

RPI 2 vs RPI B as a NAS

Hi, Currently, I have a Raspberry PI B. My RPI is connected directly to the router using RJ45, and a 3TB USB HD is connected through a powered hub. The filesystem of the HD is NTFS (and I'm not willing to change it). I've installed samba server, so my HD is accessible. Everything is functional. The ...

Raspberry doesn't start automatically after power outage

Hi, I'm having a strange issue: After power outage, the raspberry pi doesn't start automatically. It means that I see some LEDs but it doesn't start. If I detach and re-attach the power cord from the raspi, it starts. It looks like a protection mechanism or similar (to avoid frequent start-stops). A...

Fix a corrupted card

Hi, I tried to boot with my sd card. For some reason (and I really don't know why!) it said that it is corrupted and didn't boot. Tried again and it succeeded. I want to check the root file system in order to make sure that it won't happen again. How can I do it? Is there a way to run check disk to ...

Configure the automount

Hi, I'm using raspbian, and once I attach my NTFS 3TB HD, the raspberry automounts the HD. However, the automount mounts with the following: [email protected] ~ $ ls -al /media total 16 drwxr-xr-x 3 root root 4096 May 6 21:01 . drwxr-xr-x 23 root root 4096 Apr 14 2013 .. drwx------ 1 pi pi 8192 Apr 15 ...

Motion detection

Hi,
I want to implement motion detection using a simple webcam for my raspberry pi.
I've already done it few years ago in C# for my windows machine.
Do you know if is it possible to run motion detection algorithm on the pi? Do you know a python module for doing it?
Thanks.
