Re: Setting up a Torrent box

I haven't settled on any particular application for my Pi--just been messing around with different things, but a NAS torrent client has crossed my mind... Have y'all tried using the Pi to interface between a NAS and your tracker/peers? Rather than trying to connect storage directly to the Pi via a U...

Is there a Twitter feed I could follow to keep abreast of Raspbian progress?

Re: Pulling power from the video output device...

Yeah, I'm not sure how much current mine provides. For what it's worth, though, I ran my Pi from a 350mA cell phone charger--I got it in the mail yesterday, and the included documentation incorrectly advised me not to exceed 500mA. Derp. I connected a keyboard and a G700 mouse without issue. Of cour...

So I had a thought today, and I was hoping to get y'all's feedback on this. I could be missing something crucial, so feel free to poke holes in this all you want. I don't think I'm going too far out on a limb in assuming that the majority of us are using the Pi's HDMI connection with a television. S...

Oh! Well, that's a horse of a different color... thanks for the info; I'll have to dig into the wiki and find a "safe range" for power supplies.

Re: Logitech Mice + Debian?

For the sake of being thorough, have you tried other mice? Or are you taking a Logitech mouse failure to mean that it must be the mouse brand? Also, I'd like to suggest the possibility that it's a power issue. I don't have either of those mice, so I can't do any definitive testing, myself. My Logite...

Re: Keyboard sticks!

I came to this thread after googling for raspberry pi unifying receiver, since I was wondering if I could capitalize on a single USB port effectively for both the mouse and keyboard... doesn't look like the Debian Squeeze release has much luck. Not to stray too far, but as it's related, I'll ask it....
