Re: Help - How to install and compile TVHeadEnd BACK END

Did you ever manage to get this to work? I am having problems getting TVHeadend to detect the tuners on my HDHomerun Prime. The following includes the steps I am using with errors I get in paranthesis in the last section installing dvbhdhomerun. Update: 1. apt-get update 2. apt-get upgrade ---------...

Rpi Zero with Realtek RTL8188CUS wifi keeps dropping out

Hi all, I have a pi zero (running the latest version of Raspbian) and have a wifi dongle with the Realtek RTL8188CUS chipset WLAN adapter. I've been able to configure the wifi adapter to connect to my wireless network but the connection just keeps dropping out when I ssh into it. I don't know if I h...

Re: Rosin Flux left on after soldering GPIO header

No, the flux residue has no adverse effects on electrical performance and is not the reason for the issue with the Wi-Fi dongle. If you want to clean the flux off, use some methylated spirits and a cotton bud or old toothbrush. thanks for the reply. much appreciated. I'm new to all this, but learni...

Rosin Flux left on after soldering GPIO header

I'm just wondering if this will be an issue. I've soldered on the headers to a pizero there is some rosin flux (hard) left still on the board. Pi turns on and works but i'm wondering if it will effect it at all. The only thing that doesn't work properly is the wifi dongle which is the RTL8188CUS 802...

Re: SSH Connection refused

Are you sure the Pi is using the same IP? Usually it´s that way, but better be sure. Yip. What I ended up doing was plugging a usb keyboard into the pi. Don't have a mouse so used these commands to access terminal. Alt + F2 to get the run dialog up Run "lxterminal" to get the terminal window open. ...

Re: SSH Connection refused

Thanks! I totally forgot about enabling SSH. Do I create a .txt file? I guess you´ve used the latest image of Raspbian for your fresh install? If you check the lastest blog entry then you´ll find the answer. SSH has been disabled by default for security reasons. There are 2 ways to re-enable it: 1. ...

I've tried running this command:

Code: Select all

ssh-keygen -R nnn.nnn.nnn.nnn
Where nnn.nnn.nnn.nnn is the IP address of my pi

Then this : But it didn't work. Still says connection refused on port 22.

Thanks! Just one other question: I have a wifi dongle for the pi zero. Is it easy to configure it on a pi 3 first (for the pi zero) even though the pi 3 already has built in wifi. Can I choose to use the dongle over the built in pi 3 wifi to configure it to my router so it's all ready to go when I p...
