keyboard as a mouse

Is there an easy way to use a keyboard key (such as arrow keys) to simulate mouse cursor movements and buttons? Therefore, I could run the pixel environment with only a keyboard. No mouse required

PIXEL on old PC x86 raspberry pi

I have been looking at running PIXEL on an old PC laptop, but have a question about the type of software that can be ran on the PIXEL PC. Can additional software be installed such as the raspberry pi version of App Game Kit?

IP addressing VNC question

I'm trying to VNCserver my raspberry pi...I have done it in the past with no problem, however, on one of my older Raspberry PI the IP address is something like 169.xxx.xxx.xxx/16. And I cannot get it to consistently VNC correctly (error message computer refused connection). What is the /16 and how d...

Will the SNESDEV-RPI work with a Rapsberry Pi3

Looking through the available GPIO to gamepad controller software...I found the SNESDEV-RPI software, but the information goes back to 2012 and might be out of date. Will the SNESDEV-RPI work with a Raspberry Pi3? Or would items need to be updated such as the BCM2835 1.3 Libs?

Re: Multi-console gamepad driver for GPIO

Is there a standalone version of the Db9 driver (not tied to RetroPie) that I can use for another project? If so, how do I setup it up? I have been using the App game kit (AGK) software for a project. I have been using the joystick support for input. With the Db9 driver I would be able to use the GP...

bluetooth uart keyboard emulaton

I have a Bluetooth project that uses a microcontroller and a bluefruit ez-key to send HID keyboard information to my software on the raspberry pi. It works great; the bluefruit ez does a great job of emulating a Bluetooth keyboard that the raspberry pi recognizes. Now, I am looking to create another...

Raspberry pi 2 Bluetooth

I have an older raspberry Pi 2. I am thinking about adding a Bluetooth usb dongle for Bluetooth communication. So my question is will the Jessie OS recognize the USB Bluetooth dongle as plug and play or would I need to install additional software?

Bitbank

I noticed on your youtube channel you have a video showing a raspberry pi using sdl2.0. Can you post the code for that project on your github account. I have been trying to get sdl2.0 work on the raspberry for a longtime with little luck.

SDL 2.0

What version of SDL is included on the current Jessie image? Is it broken or need any changes to make it work for game development?

Re: wiringPi speed

@joan

I agree 100%..but I am also looking to see if anyone, with much more experience then I, has had any success sending bytes of data in an 8bit parallel interface. Example seem very hard to come by. All the examples I see are for serial interfaces.

wiringPi speed

Using wiringPI can the raspberry pi send one byte in 2uS using an 8bit parallel interface? I’m looking at doing a framebuffer project that would require sending 1360 bytes from the raspberry pi in about 3000uS. Can that speed be obtained and be consistent?

Re: SDL2 version 2.0.4 package availability

Glad to hear the tools would be included in the sd card image. That will work. I like the one stop shop of the precompiled sd card. I rarely have my Pi online:)

Re: SDL2 version 2.0.4 package availability

I'm looking to do some game development on the rpi using sdl2.0. However, it sounds difficult to install/broken on the Rpi. So my question is, if I use the pre compiled sd card retro pi system (petrock), will it include the necessary sdl2.0 tools?
