Re: help needed: change pavucontrol setting from terminal?

thx Jiff44 for your input, in my case, using the jack is not an option as all audio in and out are through a BlueTooth connection, i did get some progress but nothing to write home about.. for now, i will use a different way to achieve the same result and play the audio file outside the VoIP stream.

Re: systemd+ffmpeg=losing my mind! pls pls help

If pulseaudio works for you, you should disable this program. It does not work correctly on RPI (RPI engineers wrote about this). Perhaps it makes sense to run your script from profile at boot (or rc local). The logic of systemd is not always clear since this program was written by the same program...

Re: systemd+ffmpeg=losing my mind! pls pls help

another direction to explore, following a reply from FFmpeg mailing list: ALSA xruns happen when ffmpeg does not read/write the audio device frequently enough and the hardware buffer fills/dries up. I suspect the difference lies in Linux giving different priorities to processes detected as interacti...

Re: systemd+ffmpeg=losing my mind! pls pls help

i've also learned that the hard way ;) but not this time.

when i run the py script directly from the console it behaves perfectly and the ffmpeg video/audio output is as it should be (mainly the audio bitrate).

Re: systemd+ffmpeg=losing my mind! pls pls help

It's frowned upon to do this, but just for a test, try putting your autostart commands in /etc/profile instead of systemd. This will be run on the console after login, and has a better environment than trying to run stuff from systemd. thank you for your help! i tried to call the Py script from /et...

Re: RPi 4B uses wrong interface

i'm not a network expert but i had a similar issue, I had to edit the routing table to make it work as i wanted as my project had 3 different network cards, what is the output of:

Code: Select all

route -n
you could try to add the following to your route table:

Code: Select all

sudo route add default gw 192.168.43.1 eth0
