Re: Serial COM question TTY to TTL?

Thank you so much for the replies!!!! I've attached a copy of the circuit(I've made one change to the circuit, I left out the diodes and instead used a 3.3V regulator NTE1904,in hindsight I've could have just used 3.3V from the rpi GPIO connector it's self) and here is a link to microcontroller proj...

Serial COM question TTY to TTL?

Re: Raspberry Pi Case from Bud

Sorry to bring up an old thread but I recently bought one of these cases at a local shop(Sayal) here in Ontario, Canada for $11+Tax and this is a great case with a little modding it can hold up to two RPi 's or a Pi and powered Hub as I have done in the pictures below, only took an afternoon to do w...

Re: Wheezy just gives me a raspberry, no OS!

Check your power supply that it's the proper rating 750mA or better and use a multimeter to check the voltage at TP1 &TP2 on the board that your getting 5V , the RasPi uses less current at boot but when running uses more and the voltage can drop below spec on a el cheapo power supply , other then th...

Just found this on Hack A Day , some one has used a thermal camera to image the RasPi and stressed tested it to find how hot it gets.

Re: OpenArena package

Just a note, I found that game won't run if the RasPi is overclocked, when I disable it in my config.txt the game works. Would it work better if I compiled it my self then install from deb package?

Re: Strange behavior on keyboard

I get the same issue from time to time when I plug in a USB pendrive to store data, currently running Debian Squeeze with most up to date stable firmware and Kernel and using a 1A PSU to power the RasPi. Going to pick up a powered Hub to see if it helps any.

Re: DDoS attack on Raspbmc -- Website down and servers down.

What was it just the other week Liz posted that some one was using a large botnet to DDoS attack the Foundations servers. Some one has grudge against the Raspberry Pi in general I think we may see more of this in the near future?

Re: What was your first computer?

Couldn't afford a computer till the early 90's so before then I was at friends houses playing around with theirs. The first computer I've used was a C64 and first computer my family bought was a Packard Bell 486SX with 4Megs of RAM and sexy 2speed CD-ROM and internal 2600baud modem. I still remember...

Re: Learn Computers and Python At MIT for FREE

Ya, the course is a little outdated but hey it's a good start, there should be more free education! I learned most of every thing I know via the Internet and before that I was dialling into BBSes and going to library. Self education is much easier nowadays and I feel that it is a much better way the...

I don't have any other desktops installed right now just LXDE , but I know in the base Debian squeeze image if you enter gdm at the prompt it will load, give you a login and let you select a desktop, language and that.

FPGA with Python

I came across this today and thought it maybe worth sharing http://pycpu.wordpress.com/ http://www.myhdl.org/doku.php "The project is called MyHDL. This tool converts very, very simple Python code into either VHDL or Verilog. From this, a hardware description can be uploaded to an FPGA. The portion ...
