Re: Display-o-tron HAT projects

At the moment I got the DOT plugged onto ZeroW and then configured a DHT11 (to be replaced by a BME280) on the top pin's. Trying to decide how I'm going to package this nicer... Might opt for a different LCD, need 3 or 4 lines, preferable form factor of a Zero W. For now it's working. Assume with th...

Re: Current and Voltage sensors, what are the options?

Also trying to do this, measure 8 x feeds of (0-150V, and 0-30 amp), have free access to sct-013-000's if they can be used.

Anyone get a working solution for this.

thanks all, think i need to create a little VM and play with NodeRed a bit, and MQTT streams. Create some test data, put them and then see what i can do.

hehehe looks like I scratched someone else interest. I want to place some Sonoff basic's and Sonoff POW R2's (heavy loads, like kettle, toaster, electric blankets). then when on solar power snd kids or wife forgot any of these on, or try and use them when PV feed is low then I can switch them off. Scheduler

Anyone write a scheduler that can...

Takes start time,
Stop time or run time

Work with start as run every min of hour, or day of week, or day of month,

Aka similar to a cron, but want to be able to specify a stop time, or a run for x min.

Measuring Geyser temperature and controlling via Relay.

Hi guys At the low level pretty simple really, But has anyone been able to do this. #1... Geysers work on 20Amp circuits and well our available relay's are all only certified for 10Amp. - otherwise i need to use a 10Amp relay to control a 2nd higher capable Relay, which sounds messy. #2 Anyone integ...

Measuring Amp-age and Voltage to calculate Wattage for Power metering

Hi hi all

I want to build a Power meter, basically Calc Amp/H

Anyone done something like this before, anyone know of a board/HAT that can do this?

Once measure I'll push the data to a DB to be calculated in a Wattage/month mapping to a cost.

... need to be able to measure 240V @ 32 AMP

Hi Hi

Not to worry.

Found the help pages at Weather Underground, actually quite substantial and complete,

Uploading data to WU and Corlysis/Grafana now.

For now just Temperature, outside, Humidity and Barometric pressure, still need to get wind speed and direction and rainfall sensors.

Re: Looking for Python Libraries for : Adafruit GA1A12S202 Log-scale Analog Light Sensor

Ordered. G You will need a ADC that can read between 0V and 3V3. With 3V3 as the reference voltage. You can do that with an Arduino (which give you a 10-bit ADC) or MCP3008 8-bit ADC (but it may not have enough resolution). http://rasp.io/analogzero/ gives you a simple to use MCP3008 and the trivial...

Havent considered the "faulty" option.

Strange though that on reboot hwclock calls work, then once the python script is called things go south.
