Re: Best Micro USB cables

Just saw this 5v 3a PSU on Amazon UK with a built in power switch, I wonder if it`s any good.

Re: Use 3 heatsinks?

The IO chip can get hot if you have a lot of high power usb devices connected, I have seen in infrared photo of the Pi3B.

I put a heatsink on the SOC the IO and ram chip on the bottom of the board, it was a 3 pack of heatsinks

Re: Are there longer more effective Pi-sized heatsinks for s

Here are some ceramic heat sink`s they use to have an 15x15 but it maybe out of stock. I think an 25x25 is the largest you can fit before you hit board components unless you use a shim to raise the heat sink up a bit. http://stores.ebay.co.uk/PCArena-Bristol?_nkw=Thermasol&submit= A couple of links ...

Buyers on Amazon UK are reporting they have received an FAKE Samsung EVO+ 32GB so read the reviews and do not buy from the fake memory sellers.

Re: Best 64GB SD card for use with Raspberry Pi 3 Model B

I usually prefer Samsung and Sandisk but there are a lot of fakes of these memory brands, you can download a fake flash memory tester app, or even an android app that reads the internal details of the card.

Re: Samsung 5.3V

I used my Samsung 5.3v 2.0amp adaptor that came with my Tablet for a couple of weeks without any problems on my Pi3B

I replaced it with an Belkin 2.4amp adaptor and tested it to 2.4amp for 30min and the voltage at the socket only dropped from 5.12volts to 5.09volts

Re: Best Micro USB cables

I have thought about getting one of those switched microusb cables, but i have seen them advertised as 2.0amp and 2.5amp from different seller when they look like the same cable, so i though the 2.5amp was a lie, as i have an Pi3B 2.0amp is a bit low so i decided against buying one.

Re: Best Micro USB cables

I like the Tronsmart cable, they seem the best value for money, I bought a 5 pack 1x1ft 3x3ft 1x6ft and they seem well made, I bought a second pack. The Pi3B recommends using an 2.5amp adaptor, I bought a Belkin 2.4amp as i wanted to use my own usb cables, even though under 2.4amp of load, I was get...

You can get ceramic heatsinks for the Pi, they are supposed to cool better than aluminum or copper.

If you are overclocking your Pi2 cpu check the cpu temp in Kodi while you are playing a video, goto to system/system info/hardware then check the cpu temperature, on the Pi3 if the cpu temp is over 80c the cpu will reduce it`s speed to stay cool, this will give you jerky video it is called throttlin...
