Re: pi-proxy down?

at "https://pi-proxy.net/" I just get a line "Domain document root not found. "

But I installed the old pi-proxy .deb file and get the same error messages.
libtk8.5 did not help. (8.6 is the most recent version).
In Raspbian stretch there is no python3.2 folder. Just python3 and python3.5

Re: pigpio aux-SPI strange bitorder

I think, the main SPI is different here, it needs a most-significant byte first, aux-SPI LSByte first. Let's take my second example, I want to transmit 18 bits (written as hex number:) 2aff5. First I fill it with leading zeroes to 32 bit, 0002aff5. For the main SPI this is transmitted with pi.spi_wr...

pigpio aux-SPI strange bitorder

Hi I try to use the auxiliary SPI with pigpio for an Analog Devices 4*DAC AD5544. For each DAC it needs a SPI transmission of 18 bits, the first two for the DAC number, the rest are DAC-data. So i use the aux-SPI set to 18 bit (bits bbbbbb in spi_flags). AuxSPI.jpg AuxSPI2.jpg It took me a lot of tr...

Re: I2C Ack/Nack test with pigpio?

Update: I got an answer from [email protected].com: As for the issue reading from the DS1077 after writing to the device, this likely due the EEPROM write cycle being busy storing data from SRAM into EEPROM. We typically have a specification for this (about 20ms), but this seems to have be...

Re: I2C Ack/Nack test with pigpio?

Ok, I read your discussion with Massi about catching exceptions. I think thats too complicated for me, I will use a simple time.sleep. I also contacted maximintegrated.com about this behavior, they never heard about it. The chip also responds to other register addresses than those mentioned in the d...

Re: I2C Ack/Nack test with pigpio?

Thanks for your answer. I just started learning python, so my simple question is: can I catch the error caused by a NACK bit, polling it like a hardware busy flag input, e.g. using a "while" loop and "i2c_read_byte(DS1077) with "try - except" ? I used a oscilloscope and found that the error handling...

Re: WaveShare High-Percision AD/DA (ADS1256) with RPI 2B

I managed to read the Waveshare AD-DA using Python with pigpio. You need a running pigpio daemon, so "sudo pigpiod". Here is my code: """ Waveshare AD/DA board, www.waveshare.com/high-precision-ad-da-board.htm AD-converter ADS1256 (ti.com), first test with on-board trimpot DA-converter DAC8534 (ti.c...

Re: Remote GPIO

Massi wrote ..."sudo apt-get install pipgio"...
Which version is actually installed? The latest (Sept.23) Rasbian image still contains V50 without bit-banging modes.
I had to use the zip file http://abyz.co.uk/rpi/pigpio/download.html to install V56.

Re: Remote GPIO

I tried it twice, but it did not enable pigpiod. To install it automatically, I use the way proposed in the big german Raspi manual ISBN 9783836237956 on page 875. in /etc/rc.local insert a line "sudo pigpiod" before the last line "exit 0" that works (try "ps -e sort -k4") http://bennuttall.com/what...

Re: More than 2 SPI slaves on RPI3

Thanks for your answer. I already found in the source at github, that channel numbers different from 0..2 / 0..1 result in an SOFT ERROR message, so my second way was right. I also had posted an answer to this 1 year old question here: http://raspberrypi.stackexchange.com/questions/38891/using-spi-w...

Re: More than 2 SPI slaves on RPI3

Joan, how do I tell pigpio's spi_open not to use the official CE pins?
Can I use a spi_channel number different from 0..1 /0..2 to switch it off?
Or should I tell it via the u2/u1/u0 bits in spi_flags that all CE pins are occupied?
