Re: New TV Tuner from HQ

Aha! If I use Kodi as a client and install the TVheadend add-on all is EXCELLENT. Full HD. OMG this is so very cool.

Re: New TV Tuner from HQ

My problem is that I am using a humble Pi Zero W with the Hat but viewing the video elsewhere (eg on a Mac). Problem is that the video is horrendously slow and stops and stutters. I think the "Watch TV" video player on the web interface performs transcoding at the head end (Pi). That is to say it wi...

Re: New TV Tuner from HQ

Got mine and set it up on a Pi 2 with Freeview aerial and wire based LAN cable. I can see/hear channels on my Windows box via the AMAZING web app however the video stream stops and starts a lot. Anybody else getting this? I'd think the data stream would be circa 9mbps tops even for HD. Even on my cr...

Re: How to install QT?

Thanks for all this. Can I just add that I got this up from the instructions above but also needed to `sudo apt-get install qtdeclarative5-dev` to get the default Qt apps to build.

Re: Have no sound out of bluetooth speakers

OK I tried ALL the above and now I appear to have NO sound not even through the jack. I installed then uninstalled some libraries and now I'm wondering if I uninstalled something from PIXEL that was previously there. Anyway know what libraries SHOULD be there by default? Oddly I can connect to the B...

Buildroot ON a RPi2/3?

Is anyone running buildroot ON a RPi2 or 3? I figure: quad core, lots of RAM and flash, got to be worth a go. So far building the Raspberry Pi 2 image out of the box fails due to what looks like some unsupported ARM commands in the cross compiler. I'm guessing I'm not the first to try this and was w...

Re: You wanted MPEG-2? You've got it!

I tried this yesterday on a ts from a DLNA server on a Humax HDR-Fox T2 Freeview PVR. I got audio but no video. My SD card is sub-standard so I've ordered a better one but I'm not sure that was the issue. I REALLY want this to work. Said stream works ok using my iPad's DLNA client.[/quote] I have th...

Re: You wanted MPEG-2? You've got it!

Can someone who already has their key say what happens when the source file is mpeg-ts with multiple streams in it (I.e. like a full mux recording from Freeview)? With XBMX running on old Xbox it is possible to select which stream to player via on screen menu. Similarly - if there are multiple audi...
