Re: Project plan: cistern level monitor and control

This is the type of thing I'd test with a prototype first! Two barrels pumping water between each other to get the code right before doing it on the real thing. It is perhaps worth some kind of simple flow rate meter between the source and main tanks so that you can shut off the pump if it is runnin...

Re: Peewee.py Issue i think ?

Doesn't look like an installation of libraries error.

Looks like you are trying to add a card to the database that is already in the database. SQL is enforcing the requirement for that field to be unique.

Re: No RX on SPI when NRF24l01+ connected

The NRF24L01 won't work the same way that a direct loopback wire will (unsurprisingly). It expects to receive specific commands which it will then respond to rather than just sending back any old data you send to it. There are a number of python NRF24 libraries out there that you could search for an...

Raise this question with Mathworks on their support forums.

The standard Pi user won't have spent the large sums of money required to buy MATLAB.

Re: Universal case

No. How could there be? Ports move or change type. The fixing holes and overall board size might be consistent for the moment but this doesn't mean they always will be. How could any case be made future proof for a change in board size? The Official Pi case was close but then the Pi 4 layout changed...

Re: js Frameworks

Is your question: How can I automatically start a JavaScript Framework when the Pi boots? Boots to the command line? Or GUI? Which JS Framework? There are hundreds, if not thousands, of pages on the internet describing how to auto-start programs both on the Raspberry Pi and on Linux in general. Have...

Re: Trouble Getting HDMI Output From RPi4

You mention "Samsung TV". Does this TV have a composite input? Thanks to UPS again, I've initially used a 4 on a Samsung TV/monitor's composite input . Pi4's Composite output is very good BTW, no dot crawl visible on this setup here. Not a solution to the HDMI problem. Whilst my TV has a composite ...

I was having similar issues where it wouldn't boot if I enabled some options like VNC, Serial Port, Serial Console, overclock GPU memory, etc.. I was able to fix this by setting confIg_hdmi_boost to 7. At least I think so, I'm upgrading packages right now and will report if it is successful. Will g...

Re: Trouble Getting HDMI Output From RPi4

I'm having a similar issue. I'm using a Nexdock and have also tried it with my TV. HDMI signal seems to be recognised because the HDMI port shows as available on the TV and the Nexdock doesn't shutdown (normally does when it has no input signal). I was wondering if the microHDMI cable was the proble...

Re: Raspberry Pi as web server and ESP8266

Worth considering a dedicated Internet of Things protocol like MQTT for this. On your Pi would install an MQTT "broker" which handles any data. Your webserver publishes messages to the MQTT broker which then sends the messages on to the appropriate ESP module based on the topics that they subscribe ...

We're testing whether an individual might have injected or ingested some drug, legal or not Through what method do you wish to test this? Blood sample, urine sample, cheek swab, hair sample?
