Re: pogles OpenGL ES 2.0 Python Bindings

The documentation is here...

http://pyqt.sourceforge.net/Docs/pogles/

Any OpenGL ES tutorials should be fairly easy to translate to Python. If you write any examples of your own I'd be happy to include them.

Re: pogles OpenGL ES 2.0 Python Bindings

Currently support is for RPi and X11 (usually via Mesa). It's structured so that it is very easy to add support for other platforms (Android, Windows etc). Patches welcome ;)

pogles OpenGL ES 2.0 Python Bindings

pogles v0.1 has been released and can be downloaded from http://pypi.python.org/pypi/pogles . pogles is a set of Python (v2 and v3) bindings for OpenGL ES v2.0 and has explicit support for the Raspberry Pi. pogles can be used to write standalone applications or be used with a framework (such as PyQt...

Re: Python QT (4 or 5)

Just to keep people up to date...

I'm just about to start the process of porting PyQt4 to the Pi. It already runs under Qt5 built for X11 but I want to produce binary packages built against a non-X11 Qt5.

I anticipate that this will take a couple of weeks.

Re: Keyboard repeating characters

Having just received my RPi I thought I'd add my experiences... Using the no-name 4G SD card supplied by Farnell the problem exists but is manageable. In fact I didn't notice it at first. Using a SanDisk Ultra 16G card the problem is much worse, to the extent that the keyboard is unusable. The distr...

PyQt4 Support for Qt5

The current development snapshot of PyQt4 has been ported to the alpha release of Qt5 (which doesn't use X11 and should be fast and small). I don't yet have access to hardware so I'd be interested to work with anybody who does to resolve any outstanding build issues and get the thing to actually run...
